Until there is confirmation from Manchester Utd that RVN has joined their management team then it is hearsay he is not still in the running for us. Otherwise am sure Corberan would jump at the chance
Do think we need to come to the realisation now that RVN was the guy but Manchester United have come and and he wants that instead

Yes, that is no longer our manager.
You're going to have to explain that one to me. I was simply pointing out that past performance is no guarantee of future performance.

Not sure I would want either of them to be honest and to be clear I am not advocating either of the 2 - its like asking to choose between being poked in the eye or punched in the nose.

If he’s only going there as an assistant then what’s the hold up announcing him?

I have zero inside information nor do I pretend to have, however until Manchester Utd confirm RVN's appointment he is still in the mix. What will be will be. Hopefully we'll soon find out

Perhaps they are waiting for Ten Hag to sign his new contract first.

Basically you supported him when it was easy because we were winning every week, soon as he made a couple of errors in the transfer window and results weren’t what you wanted, your support wasn’t there.
That isn't true at all.

I went to games, home and away and I encouraged the team every time I went. That's what being a supporter is.

What it isn't is just mindlessly backing the clubs every move. It's fair to offer criticism, on the whole most people were critical but prepared to give Kompany time to rectify it- which he did not.

So basically you're arguing that criticism against Kompany isn't fair after making a "few mistakes"- yet your criticism of Dyche was fine after a few miracles.

Caught in your own net of crap again.

We did do well. The figure was quoted at £20 million but it was clear Bayern were never going to pay that. The point I was making is that with the boot on the other foot we won’t be having to pay the full amount.
And I wonder just how untenable Corberan’s job may now be at WBA. It certainly seems like he’s been very open to leaving this summer if reports are to be believed. It may be something and nothing but if I was a West Brom fan I wouldn’t be too enamoured with him.

If your paperwork is in order and you pay the fee, it can be done in 2 days.
Maybe with Kompany that wasn't the hold up.

Sean Dyche ? The alleged new owners want a big name as opposed to a successful manager.
I enjoyed our utter dominance of VKs first season but also enjoyed Sean's pragmatic approach and our time with him.

Not a cat in hell’s chance of this happening, unfortunately.

Sean Dyche would be a shoo-in for any number of Premier League jobs if they were available and he was to leave Everton.

Parker looks a perfect fit , young (ish) ambitious , 2 champ promotions in first seasons and decent experience with a terrible Fulham prem side . Suprised he took the Brugge job but he’s experienced success and failure in a short career and will be learning .

If Bellamy becomes Burnley manager it will be by “default” not by “design” after every other avenue has been explored and failed. The first 10 pages of this thread contain less than half a dozen posts suggesting that Bellamy be a viable managerial appointment for Burnley. Compare that to the last 10 pages which contain numerous posts opting for Bellamy as the options are drying up rapidly.

Some interesting news from the Breakfast Launch yesterday, if you believe it:

- Want to trim the squad from 40 to 25/26
- wages cut by 50% due to clauses
- many players want to stop including Esteve, Cullen, O'Shea
- manager hunt a very thorough process
- some names in media true, some false
- lots of interest and managers still contacting the club, including some in current contracts with other clubs, which hasn't gone done well with the BFC after VK scenario.
- VK was approached days before Forest game

That whole charade from VK after the Forest game about it being the first game of next season was absolutely ridiculous in that case

Didn't Matt Williams do an interview/podcast where he said that when signing new players, they pay for a home office rep to come to the ground and sort the work permit? Players certainly don't wait 21 days - Assignon / Esteve for recent examples.

A quick Google search brings up the Gov site suggesting 3 weeks for people out of the country or 8 weeks for people already here.

That's for mere mortals though, as you say if you cross a hand with silver, they seem to bend over backwards in this country.

Actually, you can get an International sportsman Visa in the UK within 5 days if you pay £500 and 24 hours if you pay £1000.

I can answer this one. There have been lots of candidates considered which took time, holidays/availability will have no doubt played a part and finally when we were close to appointing they had their head turned by an ex employer leaving us unable to appoint

I can answer this one. There have been lots of candidates considered which took time, holidays/availability will have no doubt played a part and finally when we were close to appointing they had their head turned by an ex employer leaving us unable to appoint
Like I said we are struggling and all the time the season is getting closer,no way are we going to be ready,we will struggle this season whoever is in charge now

Personally I would rather Alan Pace et al took as long as they need to do their due diligence and identify the right person to be our next manager rather than pick anyone yet just because 123EasyasBFC is spamming for attention and a few of the non-international players are back in pre-season.

Intriguing.
I don't think Alan will let the fans down, he doesn't normally let us down. He'll sort this out, don't worry.

I think we all agree, but we are fans, we are impatient, I think that's pretty standard.
I want the best man for the job, but I wanted him yesterday, which is why I'm just a fan, rather than the Chairman!
