Guess there are a couple of other more important things to work out first.

There was a rumour of hoffenheim away the first weekend of August but whether that one won't happen with kompany leaving or was just a rumour, who knows?

I don’t think we were ever actually going to Hoffenheim.

So let’s not prepare properly that makes no sense

Preparations will be ongoing and as ‘normal’ as they could be, it’s why we’ve appointed interim management.

Each year it seems the announcement of pre season games get later and later. It seems they’re more for preparing the squad for the new season and less for fans jolly ups.

Let's hope Alan Pace learns from telling the Fab supporters group about friendlies in their meetings, if they're not going to happen.

It will have cost a few supporters hundreds of pounds.

Surely, surely, surely, if the FAB have been made privy to such information, then at least one of them would have thought to ask where the game will be held? 😲😲

Tbf, I don’t see why a club would ever think of the fans when they’re preparing for a season, it’s the least of their problems

As annoying as it is

I cannot understand why people get so annoyed about friendlies
If you want to have a few days on the lash, just go, why build it around a pre season training session, Personally I wouldn't pay a fiver to watch one at turf moor, never mind hundreds of pounds abroad

We’ve had some brilliant trips for pre season. It’s not just about the games but an opportunity to meet up with mates and fellow Clarets in different places. The Ireland trips were good and it was really enjoyable going on a trip with two games such as the one around Lake Garda and those in Austria.

You would have to ask them what was said as I wasn't there.
But two or three of them seemed certain we were playing away at Hoffenheim on 3rd August, if I have remembered the date rightly.

Indeed. I have similar info but we the FAB definitely told that they were playing:

Away AT Hoffenheim

Or

Away TO Hoffenheim

?

Both have very different perpetrations and could result in a difference of hundreds and hundreds of miles potentially.

I have 5 or 6 holidays a year, but would never base any of them around a training session. Good to them who go, but I can understand why the club don't make it a priority to fit in with fans

No-one's asking them to make it a priority, so far as I can see. But it is such a big ask to announce where they are playing friendlies? Once the fixture has been decided, all they need to is to say where and when. Pace claimed to be good at PR and info sharing.

Maybe they will and maybe no games have been arranged yet.

It will have been set up by Kompany and we know from experience over the previous two years that there will be plenty at the training ground and late arrangements for any public games.

I'm not one for friendlies but living abroad I never get to see us play in situ. So, if either the first team or our young lads played within a reasonable distance of where I live, I'd go and watch.

I went to genk away last season and it felt as close as possible to being away in Europe again.
It would be nice if the club arranged a friendly abroad each year that was in a nice European city so we could get that experience. But, we do need to get the balance right of preparing for the next season

Just noticed the away fixture with Warrington Ryland is showing on Live Score for tomorrow night.
No mention anywhere else. Is it first team? U21s? Can't see anything on the club website either.

Our club have failed to let anyone know about this game just as they did a year ago when we played at Lancaster. I very much doubt we will include any first team players.

Definitely U21s.

Good to see Bauress back. Little disappointed that Mellon isn't with the first team.
