Bump
Thanks for the bump

I said it, I own it.

It is absolutely amazing to me that we've turned in one of the all time, hall of famer worst seasons by any club, and clubs are still coming in strong for some of these footballing **** wits.

If you'd have told me after Everton that Dara O'Shea would be leaving against the wishes of most of the fans for 15m I'd have had a nervous breakdown

I still stand by that this is a reflection of a broken transfer market rather than the ability of these players and all I will be taking away is the reminder to never be surprised by football.

:D

The combination of SB wanting to play in the PL & £25m needed & trimming the wage bill.
I think he was our biggest earner on approx £70k pw. Probably a major reason we had to sell unfortunately.

Odebert played but was going. so why change it for Berge, from that perspective what you are saying makes no sense and no need to insult people’s intelligence because they choose to believe what is stated.

It is obvious we are losing more players we still have too many more than we can register
No interest sufficient enough at that point warranted resting odebert spurs coming in caught everybody off guard. It was that quick you looked at the forum nothing mentioned went to work finished work looked back on, gone.

Having to have 8 home players has changed our transfer strategy in my opinion.

Jakub thinks it should be legal to take drugs and drive as well as have the public decide which prisoners we should kill.

Allowing him to insult your intelligence should be taken as the compliment it is

Trippier is keen to leave Newcastle according to the Athletic, and Everton are interested in taking him on loan.

Would you?

That’s the most frustrating thing for me this window. Doesn’t feel like any of these players can really be considered potential premier league players in future (I would exclude Hountondji & Hannibal from that list - have been impressed with the former and feel the latter could play in the premier league).

I’d honestly have rather we stuck by our fringe players like McNally, AAD, Anass and Benson (assuming he goes) and give them playing time than turf them out and replace with no better.

Only thing I can imagine is that the price difference is driving the sales as we need the thin profit off them/loan now pay later cash benefit, which is pretty worrying in its own right.

Hoping there are actually other deals being explored that we’re not aware of yet.
I disagree, I think SP is building a team that can survive in the EPL for one season with 16th or 17th place finish as a minimum.
SP knows he has a reputation for promotion but not being able to stay in the EPL - he is therefore recruiting accordingly.

At this level trippier would comfortably be the best player in the league

At this point we have no indication of just what say SP has in the recruitment process, if any

The structure that we had under VK is no longer in place - SP is here as a coach not a manager with influence over all the clubs activities - I thought that was a very clear message from the club

Trippier wife wants to leave Newcastle.

If you think there is any reasonable chance of him coming to us in the Championship, then I want some of what you’re having!

On anywhere between 100-140k a week depending on the publication.

It'd be lovely but I don't think it could work. I also think the pull for him would more be Dyche rather than us.

At least we will know where is loyalty really lie when he said one day he'd come back to Burnley.

Did he really mean Burnley or did he mean Sean? I can't see a world in which we could cover his wages, though with no transfer fee to pay it is possible.

He might be here as head coach but he will be involved in transfer discussions no doubt. Worrall stands out as being a signing that Parker will of had influence on

Could SP be thinking of 3 at the back with his signings so far. Defender heavy now despite the departures or potential departures and I think we’ll be left short in midfield and attack personally.

I fear for us in these dramatic turnover windows.
Best players out and 'promise' in, is not sustainable on a football pitch.

Too much disruption and learning to do.

We may have save a few million this season, however, it could bite quickly and cost us £120 million or more.

There’s a difference between someone who you don’t have a lot on common with and disliking someone. The opinion that he follows Andrew Tate therefore he must be a bellend just doesn’t sit well with me. It’s not confined to this board, it’s society in general. Anyway back to the topic in hand!
Why would you follow a misogynistic, hate promoting bellend like Andrew Tate?

You could get therapy, and then let Burnley make £7m on a player than hasn't contributed for 12 months.

In fairness he can only contribute if he's allowed to. Never selecting him no wonder he isn't contributing.

It's all hypocrisy... There are literally 100s of thousands if not more of female influencers who are turning a similar amount of impressionable young women into S** workers on social media and nobody bats an eyelid about them or accuses them of brainwashing British Girls like the Tates get accused of brainwashing British boys...

And near enough everything said in the press about them can be proven as fake in seconds after a quick search. I am no fan of them personally, just not my cup of tea but you'd have to be seriously cerebrally challenged to not work out what the establishment is trying to achieve with them while ignoring the far more dangerous female influencers on social media who do not challenge the establishment as they do!
Sorry for going slightly off topic here but it sounds like Plymouth are eyeing up a move for Michael Obafemi

No interest sufficient enough at that point warranted resting odebert spurs coming in caught everybody off guard. It was that quick you looked at the forum nothing mentioned went to work finished work looked back on, gone.
Not sure that is entirely correct, I don’t know the timescale for the bid etc but just because it wasn’t mentioned anywhere doesn’t mean it wasn’t ongoing for a few days/ weeks.

Benny must stay I was gutted that Anass has gone and loosing Benny is imo a step too far.
Players are not like pets … we don’t keep them forever.
With regard to Benson … he’s one player that is a complete luxury player that most teams can’t afford to have in squad.
Of all the players I’d get rid of him.

sake Longside, I came here to find out opinions on Andrew Tate, not learn about transfer rumours.

Do better, please.

It was kept well under wraps if it was. You would suspect as another poster alluded to the performance against Luton perked interest up. Berge was going nothing was stopping that.
