Only just seen on Twitter Romano stating Amdouni "very clear with Burnley, he only wants to play for Benfica". A loan to buy for 10 million is atrocious business. Tell them to get fecked. We can't be seen as a club willing to part with assets the moment a player's agent pipes up, we'll get our pants pulled down on the price.
He tweeted the same before the game yesterday, but he played, and we don't tend to sell players for less than we bought them for, so on this occasion, hopefully, fab is wide of the mark

Players that only signed due to VK’s promises / lucrative contracts if we stayed in the prem annoying it takes so long in the window

It’s one of them we are small town why do we expect to mix with the prem, we signed international standard players it didn’t work everyone jumped ship

Ipswich had a stone wall pen against city not given why he bothered about getting up there…money we say we have generate 100mill but the players still don’t want to be here, return to a proper club and develop home grown players

Is what it is

I’m sure Romano is correct about Amdouni wanting Benfica but we won’t sell him at that price.

He still thinks it's the result that's the issue. It was the team sheet ffs.
Again these posts 90% of them are after the result, based on tripe, always a small majority who post the same negative rubbish after the game, none of you were posting about results after two games.

Maybe just maybe it's because they've sold players we need after those two games, just a thought

My info doesn't come from within the club like I suspect Longsides does. Sometimes its right, sometimes its wrong but always in good faith passes on what he hears about our doings. There's interest and that's as much as he knows. Gets an awful lot right about man city incomings/outgoings shall we say.
Leeds fans seem to think they have a good chance for billing

I think you're referring to Sunderland away and after that. If I recall correctly Barnes himself said he was rubbish at Sunderland, thought his Burnley career was over and instead it ended providing a springboard to better things. Kompany subsequently referred to the same.

Yes, I do recall that, but really he achieved "legendary" status for pushing Rovers' 'keeper into the net. He could do no wrong after that.

We were getting battered by Sunderland last time in the Championship and we got battered by the Blades in the same season but I can’t remember fans feeling so ****** off by such an inept performance like Saturdays.

Agreed. This €4MM loan offer doesn’t benefit Burnley FC at all. As for the €12MM (or whatever it was) that they’re offering as a follow on to the loan, there’s no way that we’d take a €6MM loss on an upcoming international player.

I don’t think that some of the newer international players who’ve come in understand just what the Championship is. On the continent, many second divisions are not very good. I think it wouldn’t go amiss if SP were to sit down with these guys and explain the fact that a year in the Championship can make a man of them, both physically and mentally.

Back to Zeki, in an interview with Blick.ch a few weeks ago, he did say that he had his personal objectives (obviously to play Champions League football), but that he was under contract at Burnley and he would “play if he had to.”

I wonder where he’ll be come Saturday morning.

European clubs love to play the poor mouth. Ridiculous a club like Benfica making an offer like that if they genuinely want him

If we do now stand firm against Amdouni leaving, he can't afford to sulk for long because he might lose his international place, unless he is consistently good for us in the championship. Not sure how we prevent Koleosho or others. What would he lose by sulking for too long, apart from his professional reputation? Keep these two and we won't be too far away. Then got to make sure we let Cullen, Brownhill, Esteve, Foster, Roberts and all our other players how much we value them.
Hountondji and all our other recent signings need to be given more time to settle in. The treatment of Hountondji on here and possibly at the game against Sunderland is out of order.
Whatever your thoughts on our direction of travel off the pitch, there is no excuse for taking it out on the players. Don't think they need any further demotivating.

A like an occasional coincidental stat. Last season when we played at home to 'our near neigh-bours', we had lost our previous game and needed to beat them to go above them in the league. Same as right now.

Probably best not to release names until they are certain. Otherwise Sheffield and Leeds will go in after them.

I didn’t get the impression that Parker was expecting a flood of his own pick of signings through the door

So I’ll expect the new
Churlinov
Bastien
Delcroix
Obafemi
Ramsey’s cousin
Keeper that never plays so his name is irrelevant

No.

Billing would be great and is valued at €22m by Transfmarkt (hence we won’t be getting him) but he isn’t a big goalscorer and we need one,

Good news and I think everyone just needs to calm down and let the transfer window run its course. Mr Pace is Burnley through and through and knows what he's doing so lets just leave him to get on with the business of buying and selling and trust that when the process ends next Friday we'll have a squad capable of winning the Championship title

None us know the identity or quality of the possible additions but the timing is a slight positive. The last thing we need is to be going into Thursday/Friday still short of several signings.

Believe we’ve got multiple medicals booked over the next 24/48 hours. No names yet.
At least someone is coming in. Will put some fans minds to rest at the very least . Let’s hope they are of a good quality

They won’t be ready for Saturday
Lets hope some are, because that same squad as yesterday will not do at all.

If players are having medicals in next 24-48 hours, why wouldn’t they be ready for Saturday?

European clubs love to play the poor mouth. Ridiculous a club like Benfica making an offer like that if they genuinely want him
& if you want one of their players, you find they have a 60m Euro release clause!

I think the most likely players who be having medicals are Hannibal and Sarmiento as they were the 2 names heavily linked before the mass outgoings started. Then potentially Johnston but hopefully we have another cm and striker medical lined up to

Being available to play doesn’t make them ready
Worrall Sambo & Humphries didn’t start against Sunderland
