WHU sorted out his injury issue. They sent him to a specialist who found the problem and he had an op to correct it. He was out a while and couldn't get into the team when he came back.BigGaz wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:04 pmI have been offered a name, and jungle drums are adamant it's not a wind up. This, and the supposed enquiry for Ings, strike me as the actions of a board who are scratching around desperately for something they think will appease the fans.BigGaz wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:04 pmI have been offered a name, and jungle drums are adamant it's not a wind up. Window closes Friday.
Match on Saturday, that we mustn't lose. How sad is having to write that.
Two week break for SP to know who is in the house and get them sorted into his system.
Can we take loans after the window closes in the EFL?

Its completely bonkers is this. We need 6 signings before the deadline on Friday.

Does anyone else think that they are going to suddenly wake up and find that this wasn't real?

How many loans are we allowed, and does the loan window extend beyond the end of the transfer window? Because we’re still well placed to take some players from the likes of Chelsea and Man City and this was of course integral to our success last time. But one of the problems is that some of the supposed imminent incomings seem to be loan with option/obligation to buy which will obviously reduce our options.

Now the report is in The Sun I can speculate that I suspect that was done for Parker not an agent. It’d make sense, he said he didn’t yet know his players well enough. He would have to quickly decide who we should let go.
But such a document is like a top secret “eyes only” thing. What level of incompetence lets it get out like that? Sending it on social media? Businesses use encryption and password entry nowadays for corporate secrets.
It is what the term sh1tshow was invented for, but I’m so grateful to Williams and co for getting what will be north of £150m. It gives us a chance, this season or next (20 games till the next window). Very easy to imagine only getting half that for these players.
As for Foster, I just hope to God the buy still happens if they drop (which they will). Because there is surely no return now for any of these players who want out.

The loan window doesn’t open after the window anymore, just free agents after the window is closedRileybobs wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:17 pmHow many loans are we allowed, and does the loan window extend beyond the end of the transfer window? If we’re really enquiring about Ings and Cornet, as much as I’d love them, it really does suggest we have had no plan whatsoever.randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:09 pmThis, and the supposed enquiry for Ings, strike me as the actions of a board who are scratching around desperately for something they think will appease the fans.

Parker has known of Fosters desire to leave for a while and known about his refusal to train since yesterday so I doubt he’s waited until tonight when a deal has been reported by a journalist to decide to walk.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:04 pmThe rumour has come from a post on here a few hours ago from an account created tonight

I’d love Cornet back. If he’s fit he’s the best winger in the league by a mile.

Perhaps the board are looking at short-term profits to pocket rather than a long-term increase in sale value which would be reliant on us being in the Premier League.

Loan window doesn’t extend no. Hannibal is a permanent deal now so only 2 of these supposed incomings are loans.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:17 pmHow many loans are we allowed, and does the loan window extend beyond the end of the transfer window? They can’t seriously believe that we’ll still get promoted after selling all our players.

Mmm. I suppose loan deals are easier and quicker to get over the line so it’s hard to see past us taking advantage of this.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:18 pmThe loan window doesn’t open after the window anymore, just free agents after the window is closed

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
So players leaving before the window shuts now are:
Out
Weghorst
Foster
Amdouni
Koleosho
Think Brownhill and Trafford will stay
Which leaves us with the task of bringing in
2 strikers
2 wingers
A number 8 or 10
A CM
And that is the bare minimum

None of them bar Esteve seems to want to play for him.

Roberts Worrall Esteve Pires
Massengo Cullen
Vitinho Benson Hountondji
JRod
The best team we can put out on Saturday assuming everything stays as is on the incomings and the expected outgoings go?
I don't anticipate any falling through but not sure it's a good idea to thrown new starters in, team cohesion already shot at.

There’s no limit to the amount of loans you can have but only 5 can be named in each match day squad

Ipswich making all the same mistakes that we made.

They can sell it for a pound having made millions. Face it lads, we’ve been had. Sold down the river. Absolutely screwed. I can’t see a recovery from this in my lifetime or ever, for that matter. An extremely sad time for all of us, to say the least.
