Awful attitude, turned up with a black eye one game, then he was hungover a different game.

Then he was splashing cash in a bar, days before an important game.

I believe he’s only played once for Ipswich and already made two laughable mistakes.

He's played both Premier League matches he was available for. O'Shea hasn't played except in the League Cup draw with Wimbledon. It will be interesting to see their line-up on Saturday.

I doubt whether McKenna can afford to persevere with him in the team. I think we did good business when selling a player who could not get out of our club quick enough. I think if he fails at Ipswich his days will be limited in this country

Yep completely agree too.
Hundreds and hundreds of pages of debate last season as to who was the better keeper between Trafford and Muric when the reality was for most fans is that neither was good enough for the Premier League.

Muric has already made 3 or 4 howlers for Ipswich this season which have cost them goals and indeed points. He did the same for us too in his appearances last season.

His decision make in my view is never going to improve. He lacks the focus and correct mindset to cut out his mistakes. He thinks he’s a lot better footballer than he is with his feet - no doubt he is better than most keepers with his feet - bit it’s a special kind of stupid and arrogance that makes you think you are better than premier league strikers !!

He makes some outstanding saves. He lets in some unbelievable clangers. The 4th yesterday was laughable as nobody was getting near it and he still let it in.

He was probably a better choice for #1 last year as Trafford was still growing into his body and I didn't think he deserved to be dropped. JT will end up being a much better keeper.

Both were great for us, but those birds have flown, pope seems to be making far more errors than he ever made for us.
If the season continues as its started, Trafford will be just fine, and even Iin the Premier league, with a better organised defence, and team set up he probably be OK...world class keepers ain't coming to Burnley

A bit of research on James Trafford on the internet.
First Bolton keeper to keep 4 consecutive clean sheets from his debut on wards (aged 18).
The season after he kept 26 clean sheets. A club record. He was also included in the League one team of the season. He was 20 at the time.
When England Under 21s won the Euros he kept 6 clean sheets and saved a penalty in the final.
He struggled in his first season at Burnley, playing in a team that was out well out of its depth.
This season he has 6 clean sheets in 11 games. He is still only 22, very young for a keeper.
Nick Pope and Tom Heaton are amongst the very best we’ve had at Burnley and were a joy to watch, but they were well behind James Trafford in their development when they were his age.

We have been spoilt over the last few years with some fantastic keepers, Muric was a character who reminded me of Jenson (beast) good at times and awful at times. Pope, Heaton and Beresford are the ones I rated well. Trafford still has time to develop and I certainly wouldn't write him off. Kompany was more at fault for playing him last season than Trafford. He has definitely looked better this year.

Because he is a mid table championship keeper that has somehow scrounged a handful of premier league games.

Simple - he’s not good enough. And he’s certainly nowhere good enough the Premier League thinking he is Bobby Moore with the ball at his feet.
Even saying he was the better keeper when he came back last season for us is questionable. Whilst I agreed he needed to come back in for Trafford and this should have happened earlier we are looking at a massive mistake every 4 or 5 games in his Premier League career.

How many of those kind of mistakes have say Nick Pope or Tom Heaton made in their whole career. The kind of criticism they get is that they could be better with their kicking or they could have perhaps done “”better” with saving a goal. By the end of this season Danny Baker will be in the editing studio working out which blooper to leave out on his new Muric video.

Appears a very similar view range to here last season. The only issue was both our keepers last season weren't playing great so alot of people ignored the ricks in Muric so much that many on here made him out to be some sort of reincarnation of Lev Yashin.

Interesting a lot of the Ipswich fans are giving Muric the benefit of the doubt, despite several ricks this season, because he's playing behind a new defence every week. That said they have taken draws from Fulham, Brighton, Southampton and Villa. They have lost to City, Liverpool, Wet Spam, Everton and Brentford.

A good chunk of ours last season had the knives out for Trafford early doors despite having an ever changing defence and defeats against Man City, Villa, Tottenham, Man U, Newcastle and Chelsea, whilst we took a win from Luton and a draw at Forest. I can't recall a definitive cock up from him which directly resulted in a goal during the same period.

FWIW, I think this season will show the gap in quality between Championship and PL has now developed into a huge gap in quality within the PL itself.
