Is Carsley going back to the U21s when Tuchel takes over?

I guess all those footballers who would normally have started but didn’t fancy playing in this tournament have given others a chance to shine, and perhaps replace them in more important matches.

A winger attacking the byline and picking someone out?

Crazy. We should try that.
Didn’t we give it a try at Hull?

Obv we weren’t all that impressed by it so subsequently binned the idea.

They won’t be worried about that… 90% of the usual team are nailed on starters regardless of current form.

Well, Tuchel may have a different approach to what we are used to.

Madueke is getting 2-3 men on him every time. It's what happens when Koleosho has the ball.
Another version might be that he gets the ball many times on his own , looks up to find a cluster of defenders and then runs into them.

I wonder how many of those ‘fatigued’ players will say they are ok for the Ireland game. LC should pick from the same pool he had tonight.

A lot of people who don't have a clue about football were against Lee Carsley before kickoff for his selection and I thought it was one of our best recent performances.

Certainly a very good second half. Look what you can do when you run at defences.

Solid first half as well to be fair. I remember Greece having one good chance but that was about it. And they are around 40 in the world so we can't even class them as shiote. They also had a decent recent home record - not lost in a year.

Not many posts on this thread. I wonder how many posters watched the game but haven’t posted on this thread because they don’t want to admit to watching the game. Probably be a lot more posters on here if England had lost.

Yep, pretty good that, given a lot of first choice players dropped Carsley in it this week.

We even had a left back playing left back.

It would be heaving if England lost. What you normally get is people saying they would rather watch paint dry, but watched the game.

People comment when there's something to comment on. Last night we played quite well with a reasonably well balanced formation against the team ranked 40th in the world. Kind of what you'd expect from England? Maybe worthy of some comment because of the squad he was left to pick from.

Last time we played them we lost at home playing a hopeless formation without a striker. More people are going to comment.

The one thing that did standout to me , was how much quicker we moved it through midfield without Rice .

Very competent display with a touch of flair. I'd stick with this group and formation for the Ireland game. I enjoyed the "freedom to express" which the players were given and Greece were very much 2nd best in the latter stages.

Declan Rice is so overrated but he plays for Arsenal so he must be good. ;)

Yet he seems to run the game when he plays against us.

I think he's an excellent player.

Our defence was all over the place and we had no midfield .

Hope the beer is cheap in London
