After bumping into former Boro striker, John Hendrie, whilst walking my cocker spaniel this morning (spent half an hour with him and he had lots of lovely anecdotes about Burnley and connections between the two clubs) and with the Clarets heading up the A19 on Sunday evening, I thought that Ayresome Park would be a fitting next ground to remember in the series.
I introduced myself by reminding John Hendrie that I was there to see him score a hat trick against us in the 94/95 season, to which his immediate response was… “I scored all five goals against you that season!!”
Any anecdotes of trips to Ayresome Park or memories of games to share?
