You can see how we will have become an entitled fan base to other Championship clubs fans when we’re complaining about signing Shelvey.

I’m not convinced he’ll be as good as that but definitely a very solid signing who I think will play more than people expect.

If SP is that desperate to sign him it’s not a great risk until the end of the season ,let’s face it we’ve been paying one sick note for 18 mths probably on a lot more than Shelvey who hasn’t any intention to go on the pitch.

Had a look at his stats earlier and he has played a heck of a lot of 90 minute games without being subbed. Last season played nearly a full season in the Turkish league before moving clubs. Season before was his only the bitty season, the one where he moved to Forest in January and fell out with Cooper. But played an awful lot for Newcastle before that for many seasons, 90 minute after 90 minute.

If he is fit, great, better range of passing than any current midfielder we have, if he fails a medical, I suppose that is one of those things.

I stand by what I said.

In 21/22 he started 22 games in the Premier League and generally played 90 minutes, in 20/21 he started 29 games and again usually played the full game. That’s a good record in a side that even then rotated a lot. He had a few injuries but only muscular.

That’s a pretty demanding schedule only 3 years ago so I’d be confident he could do a dozen or so games in the Championship if he passes a medical.

Hard to say, there’s been some things that have seemed banged on he’s said and others that’s total rubbish, for example in the summer in his group chat he said they were offering Lampard the job but then yesterday when I posted around lunchtime that Shelvey was at the training ground that was in his group chat and it soon did the rounds on twitter after
