Okay:
What about this lad: Teammates with Nick Pope: JGB- he has an interesting CV, would you like me to elaborate?
I think that's 2.0 now.
Okay:
Different division but same reasoning ,according to your reasoning because Chris Wood played for a crap Premier League team (us) he wouldn’t be much good ,hasn’t done too bad has he?
As a general rule of thumb they are the outliers as I’m sure your aware.
Why would we agree to that?nil_desperandum wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 5:32 pmCan't they get around this with a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy in the future at a fixed fee?
Just to remind you what you said dyched before you try and spin it into 'i said not everyone who plays at championship is up to that standard" rather than "I'm an idiot who thinks that if I play at low league club I just be ****".
It would be complete guesswork to answer. Just repeating what the press who cover Newcastle are saying.nil_desperandum wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 5:32 pmCan't they get around this with a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy in the future at a fixed fee?
It depends what you mean really.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 6:04 pmAs a general rule of thumb they are the outliers as I’m sure your aware.
I don’t think anyone is arguing a player can develop and become a premier league player.
Whittaker might very well turn out to be a top player for us, I hope he does. But I think it’s fair that people are a little dubious given his form this season.
I’ve seen him possibly five times this season and he’s been decidedly poor in all five games, from my personal viewing I think he’s a risk at 10m plus tbh. I’ve gone back and watched a few of the highlights from his season last year and he seemed to be much more creative and a better dribbler than I have seen this season. (Stats seem to support that consensus). So i can only assume he’s had an off year due to speculation about his future.
But I will give the club the benefit of the doubt and fully back him if he comes in.
We could, and this seems a practical outcome for all (we get him back to help us go up, they avoid a bidding war in the summer) but it would be on their FFP this year. There’d have to be some jiggerypokery like we get one of their players at an inflated price and sell him back in the summer at a different price blah blah blah.AshevilleNCClaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 5:57 pmor couldn't we sell him to Newcastle, and then they loan him back to us for the remainder of the season?
4 of the goals scored by TC came in one match against Portsmouth 2 either side of half time.ClaretLoup wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 10:33 amThere is speculation surrounding the future of Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham, according to the local rag, Real Madrid are interested!
Going the other way Friday night’s opposition are interested in bringing in Leicester’s Tommy Cannon amongst a herd of other Championship clubs. Apparently TC has scored 9 times for Stoke this season, no mean feat. Ironically he seems to like scoring against Sunderland, maybe that is why they are trying to buy him.
Sheff Utd also in for CannonClaretLoup wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 10:33 amThere is speculation surrounding the future of Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham, according to the local rag, Real Madrid are interested!

Waiting for Cannon to go off somewhere
Sheff United have apparently offered 7 million for him, Leicester have until the end of today to recall him from his loan apparently.
He’s another one that has flattered to deceive this seasonVegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 3:48 pmSheff United have apparently offered 7 million for him, Leicester have until the end of today to recall him from his loan apparently.
I mean you told us all Hountondji was going to score 20 league goals and Foster is the best striker in the league so respectfully, nevermindNewcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:47 pmHe’s another one that has flattered to deceive this season
Every time I have seen him, I have thought he was quite limited. Not sure he improves Sheffield tbh
Me either. 7m is a complete waste of money in my opinion. Watch him score a hatrick against us nowNewcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:47 pmHe’s another one that has flattered to deceive this season

Rovers have offered 15 p for Bobby Ball and can they pay it over 12 months .Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 3:48 pmSheff United have apparently offered 7 million for him, Leicester have until the end of today to recall him from his loan apparently.
They should never have got rid of Tommy Ball!Stonehouse wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 5:15 pmRovers have offered 15 p for Bobby Ball and can they pay it over 12 months .![]()
Apparently he was that good he was a shoe in every game.but he couldn’t run very fast as his boots were tied together with string.
Unlikely as he's got an ongoing ankle injury plus Brighton have stated they don't want him at a premiership club fighting relegationburnley007 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 3:47 pmI think the Ferguson loan deal will happen soon, but to a Prem club. Leicester I reckon.
Say what you want about Weghorst but he’s got more ability in his left toe than those two combined.
One of them has already produced more in the premier league than Weghorst did in less games.
Haha!Stonehouse wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 6:09 pmApparently he was that good he was a shoe in every game.but he couldn’t run very fast as his boots were tied together with string.
Leicester can’t with the loan rules.burnley007 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 3:47 pmI think the Ferguson loan deal will happen soon, but to a Prem club. Leicester I reckon.
We’ve signed Barnes what more do you want ?!
Fairly similar performance to what I have seen all season.
He wants to join Burnley but having to fulfil his professional duties for his current club until a fee is agreed.
It all sounds very much like Tresor to me. Probably wants a move and isn’t going to bust a gut.
