Just going over this post, you do seem to be the sort of person who could start an argument in an empty room. Your constant arguments, I assume you always tell yourself it's the other person's fault? Maybe it's time for you to spend some time away from people and do some self-reflecting.
Just a thought, always here to help.
You get called out on every thread about your obsession with Parker, you even created a thread apologising for all the Parker posts and then carried on doing it

We only seem to have one adequate one playing - Anthony. No one else has shown enough - Koleosho, Sarmiento, Benson and Agyei. Only Tresor has shown something but presumably his 'lack of interest' means it looks like he is not being considered. Playing Hannibal or Foster in a wing position maybe not what Parker really wants to do. If you look at Leeds they have three top Championship wingers - Solomon, James and Ramazani - and play two in each match.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 1:58 pmWhat is this obsession with wingers? Wingers with pace and trickery are something we lack and could make a big difference in breaking down stubborn defences.

On Esteve, the club I presume still wish to use the 'sell players for profit' method to achieve success - financial success that is.
Egan might be considered an adequate replacement for Esteve in order to reach the promised land and there's always Humphreys.
Esteve cost us £13 million or so I think so selling him for around £20 million plus a sell on clause may make sense if you think like that. We may not like it but that's the real football world we live in.
Esteve and Trafford are our most saleable assets. I expect them gone by next summer, certainly without promotion and even with.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
I will stick with my prediction from the start of this month. Without some additional attacking threat being brought in during January automatic promotion will prove beyond us and any journey to the “promised land” will have to be via the playoffs. Scott Parker at least has some experience of navigating that end of season lottery with a 100% success rate.Hipper wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 5:31 pmOn Esteve, the club I presume still wish to use the 'sell players for profit' method to achieve success - financial success that is.

I think a fairer assessment is that he’s played roughly 30-35% of their total minutes, but has been playing increasingly more as the season has gone on. Probably enough to keep him happy, unfortunately for us.

No, very different positions, although you’d expect someone loses their place in the team for him and therefore one less place on the bench.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:00 pmIf we get promoted then there is a chance isn’t there but like you say, he is having increased game time and impact so it doesn’t make sense for him to leave, I don’t think buendia signing affects his game time much either

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
The real issue here is whether Sheff Utd’s signings BBD, Clarke, Cannon and Choudhury would get in our side. I would suggest none of them do (Cannon fairly good but not a Parker style back to goal big guy). I prefer Cullen to Choudhury, marginally, Championship player of the season 2 years ago.
So they are adding depth but we have depth anyway, apart from up front.
Leeds are struggling with FFP so may sign someone but not certain.
We have signed Shelvey who in theory could make a decent difference to what we had before. So I’m not despondent but do want that one quality forward.

The only question you need to answer is by signing players of this quality, have they reduced their overall strength? I don't see it is possible to argue it has, so they have stengthened and we have not.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
They aren’t really above us. They are one point above but have had a much easier set of fixtures so we won’t know how that balances out until the end. I also don't accept that this improves them hugely. Their RB and CF are a bit better but not a game changer and I much prefer Souza to Choudhury in DM. It could worsen them as a blend. Can happen.
We’ll see, Blades fans living around me reckon they are in their rebuild season and don’t expect top two.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
I'm not expecting anyone else in tbh. January is tough and we'd have to spend more than we have to get quality in that obvious improves our first 11. Once Barnes came in I assumed that was that for a striker. Perhaps if Tresor goes we might have one lined up last minute. But I'm not too worried, I think we have the tools they just need using correctly at the right time to give us another 5-10% up top.
