Surely if he goes to Celtic it will be on a free transfer and we will get no fee
He is a free agent and can negotiate a move
We got a fee for Jay, so what's the difference?

It feels like Celtic to me. I hope I’m wrong I think he offers a lot more to the team than some people see.

Been a great servant but now he’s gone ( probably why Shelvey brought in ?) we need to kick on . With Benson coming back , and hopefully a new centre forward incoming we should have just enough to get over the line .

Then you surely agree with me then?

He wouldn't have made any difference today.
No I think it showed how much we miss him

He's not gone
Benson not the answer
Don't think a centre forward is coming in ( hope I'm wrong)

Perhaps he hasn’t yet , but it’s highly unlikely he’s injured . He’s either holding the club to ransom for a contract extension and club have either said no way or are negotiating with him , most likely why his agent has put the “ Celtic move” out there .Benson could be just what’s needed at this level , though he’s so fragile he may break down again .

Surely not going in January and wasting his talent with Celtic ? that would be a serious error for us and Josh

The Scottish league is absolute guff but it would be a decent move for him. He’s a top championship player but is lower end in the prem. I do hope he stays though!

He walks into most if not all other Championship sides. And as seen as we're a Championship side, it'd be a loss to lose him. Shelvey isn't a like for like replacement and there are questions about his fitness and his long term involvement.

Brownhill has been very good during a very successful period for Burnley.

If he is to leave, he needs replacing.

Probs his best chance of winning titles and playing European football.

He doesn't get in the Leeds or Sunderland team

If Brownhill is leaving in this window it shows how ambitious our club is as he's captain and we are 3rd in the league , for me let him go for free in the summer if he wants to go, rather have him in the team which gives us a chance of promotion.

If he is going, I wouldn't under estimate the impact that has on the squad. He's obviously very popular among the squad and captain leaving halfway through chasing promotion could be a bit disappointing for some other members.

It's been mentioned by one commentator, for an American broadcast, it's not mentioned anywhere else, so if, as you suggest his agent is putting it out there, he's not doing a very good job!!!

It was all over the football online sites going back to the 30th I think , then got picked up by trash like Lancs online etc , very early yesterday . While it’s an odd one , you can see why players his age head up to Glasgow , champs league /europa , gives a glow to their later careers . Think of Scotty Arfield cracking move for him . Id like him to stay but he’ll want a 2 yr contract surely ?

Clarets+, pre-match vs Portsmouth.
But I've just had a quick look and couldn't find it.
