I mean, he didn't bring on the creative and attacking influences of Benson or Shelvey, or even Sonne for the dire (on the day) Roberts suggests it's not just about whether it's a Pace signing or not.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:17 pmThe fact Parker didn’t bring Barnes on till the 89th minute when it was 0-0 at the weekend is a good indicater that he didn’t want to sign Barnes and it was all an Alan Pace signing

Think it’s more likely that Edwards signing allows foster to play up top.Im_not_Robbie_Blake wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:28 pmStriker dept.... Huntondji and Jay have moved on, and only Barnes has arrived,

What's going on, or is some masterplan still to be revealed?

I just don't think SP fancies Foster up front.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:29 pmThink it’s more likely that Edwards signing allows foster to play up top.
Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Do you think that means shifting Anthony back to the left? Edwards has only played from the left about 3 times in 3 years, so I'd imagine he'll be expecting to start from the right when fit.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:29 pmThink it’s more likely that Edwards signing allows foster to play up top.

If he's been watching what the rest of us have lately, he won't fancy him wide left now either!

Despite it being very clear that Dyche made all his signings, often he didn’t bring any of his on at all, so I’m not sure we can deduce who is and isn’t Parker’s signing from time played.

So we could be drawing 0-0 tomorrow with 5 minutes to go and SP may bring on Edwards Benson Shelvey or Barnes or he may just settle for a point.

Egan would have been his 1st option, but would be Worrall now i assume.Stonehouse wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:51 pmSo we could be drawing 0-0 tomorrow with 5 minutes to go and SP may bring on Edwards Benson Shelvey or Barnes or he may just settle for a point.

I suspect Egan leaving might rely on us bringing in a left back.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
Fairly confident of that.
Anthony is Parker’s man. Get the impression he will start every game.
So that means he moves to the left to accommodate Edwards on the right

We've also been linked with a LB from Philadelphia in the MLS. Kai Wagner. Hull in the box seat though

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
My perfect window would be
In 2 strikers and another winger
Out Barnes, Foster,Tresor and Luca
It won't happen, but that for me would be perfect.
As it stands,we will not end in the top two

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
He's a great player for this level but I don't think he's the type of 9 that SP wants - think he's after a more traditional 'bigger' striker that can occupy defenders and bring others into play.jedi_master wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 5:37 pmAdam Armstrong available from Southampton…we should be all over that.

Re: January Transfer Window Rumours
I think Karlan Grant could be decent. Gives us another option.
Looked a nightmare for defenders when I’ve seen him this season. Has a bit of everything.
He may not get 20 goals a season but there are very few strikers out there that hit those numbers anymore, and if they do, they cost a fortune.
