This is why I think we should look at perhaps both Salech and Ivanovic as our and our centre forwards. I think we will see Tella this summer , Pace will want it this time.

We’d be crazy not to be looking at the under 21 players for the likes of Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. Just look at the conveyor belt of talent that Man City have brought through over the last few years! We’ve seen some of it first hand and there have been lots of exciting talent who would be looking for an opportunity to break into first team football at the highest level.

We’d be crazy not to be looking at the under 21 players for the likes of Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. Just look at the conveyor belt of talent that Man City have brought through over the last few years! I hope the club predominantly goes down the more experienced route based on signing good solid pros who will at least give us a chance of staying up without blowing £15-20 million quid on a Tresor or Amdouni for example. In my opinion we are going to need talented players who also know how to put a serious shift in defensively and who genuinely want to be there!

I do understand the call for bringing in talented youngsters from the top sides, but I also think it’s much easier for these type of players to do well when surrounded by the likes of Rice and De Bruyne. For example, Nico O’Reilly looks great in City’s team out of position at left back, but I’m not so sure he would look quite so good playing for a bottom 5 club if you know what I mean.

Either way, I am looking forward to seeing who we bring in once the season ends, but first things first, win the league, sign the loanees and tie down the likes of Brownhill and CJ if we can!

Yes I agree, I suspect his goals will be stay up next season with some experienced pros then if we stay up to look at some young guns

Most definitely a bit of everything. We need a bit of Premier League experience adding. We need some youthful athleticism. And we might well look at the odd seasoned Championship achiever in their prime, particularly at centre forward. Balance.

None of those players would be coming to us. Glasner recently singing the praises of Hughes and talk of a new deal. Lukic plays every week at Fulham, traore will be cashed up and rico Henry was being branded around as a potential England left back not long ago before injury .

I’d say Sessegnon would be more realistic along with Harrison Reed but I’m hoping for more athleticism to go alongside Cullen.

One or two wise heads, leaders, would be good but the main thing is fitness, speed, strength, height to win the duels, etc.

Nobody would be complaining if we ended up with Esteve equivalents in every position.

Although I also have no issue with us spending some funds on prospects. The odds are stacked against us whoever we sign, so we need to have one eye on the future.

The problem is, as Mooney on MtB, Kompany and Bellamy most recently have all said, the experienced players don’t want relegation clauses. They see it as our problem if we get relegated, probably because they are at (or could go to), other established clubs who don’t insist on them or it’d be very unlikely it were ever triggered.

So I really can’t see all our signings being in that category. I think the club will maybe sanction some if they’re in the right age bracket, but on the whole I just expect a more balanced window.

Think I saw Angus Gunn is available on a free also, would be a sensible 2nd or 3rd choice keeper signing.

Gunn, Keane, Winks, Maja, Billing would be a good start to the window. A Cullen clone, PL experience, pace and strength all for about 25 mill spend in transfer fees.

We desperately need a right back as a priority imo, I wouldn't say no to Assignon if he's matured a bit and I imagine Pace will be all over Tella again.
