No thanks. He was desperate to leave to whoever came calling. Not someone i want to watch play in our shirt again (like a number of those who left quick sharp).
It may have been the club who welcomed the move and pushed it. We had plenty of cb’s, saved a wage and recouped some of the financial shortfall following relegation?

We’ll never know but I doubt we’ll be looking to re-sign him.

It’s in the The Athletic and it says we should be fine.

He was one of those who refused to be involved at Sunderland i believe. At least Amdouni for example went on the bench, he just wouldn’t be involved.

I read somewhere that a capital injection can offset this or something. Didn’t really understand it, but did make me question whether we might see some investment this summer.

If he has burned his bridges, we won't make him an offer.
If the bust up did happen and Dara has since apologised, then Williams, Pace and Parker will no doubt discuss the suggestion, possibly via Dara's agent.

I believe, from what I hear and read, from those with more personal knowledge, that Matt is left to do the final negotiations.

I wonder if Matt supplies a list with some specific details for Alan and Scott to consider. Does Scot then say who he would like to bring to the club?
Does then Alan go back to Matt and say this is who we would like, try and get him to the club, or do the 3 of them sit down together?

I guess Matt has some team players that he can delegate to so that we can chase more than one target at a time.

I'm curious as to the mechanics, but I understand them choosing not to divulge, although it wouldn't weaken their methodology.

Doesn’t it say we will be fine as long as we post a 20m profit for the 24-25 season.

Which I assume we should do quite comfortably given the player sales we had.

We know that as fact do we?

If so we’d certainly not be entertaining his return which shows what a load of tat most transfer rumours are.

28 pages of a window already when it’s likely we won’t make any signings till either a couple of massive sales or 1st August to keep in the 20m profit mark for PSR purposes

Time for people to just enjoy the off season

From what I think I saw on Mission to Burnley, I suspect that Matt possibly chases up other clubs to keep their part of the bargain on 'conditions on transfer contracts'.
I'm guessing the VK - Bayern 'transfer agreement' lies on file somewhere and Matt will probably have to keep a weather eye on 'if and when' conditions are triggered. There might be some a little more complicated than Bayern winning the Bundesliga.

I wouldn't go near him. I stared a thread several months ago about the evening with Mr Pace and Mr. Williams. Dara was one of the players who refused to play for us after the first couple of games and basically started throwing his weight about demanding a move away from the club.

He's burned his bridges in my opinion..
If there’s any truth whatsoever in this, we won’t be trying to re-sign him anyway. So we’re either not trying to sign him or he didn’t refuse to play.

I thought he was pretty decent in the second half of the Premier League season, was really disappointed when he left, but if we keep hold of Esteve and Egan-Riley, the starting positions are theirs.

This has been translated and copied by a Brazilian X account with 1million followers-

Burnley FC, from England, sent a document to the CBF to notify (and complain) about a debt owed by SAF Botafogo in relation to the purchase of the defender Vitinho, who is already with FIFA. The English team is demanding a total of 7.5 million euros (around 48 million reais at the exchange rate of the day) from Alvinegro.

We had access to the document received by the Brazilian football entity. See below:

"We are writing on behalf of Burnley FC to inform them of a dispute with one of their clubs, SAF Botafogo.

Please find attached, for your information, a Proposal from the FIFA General Secretariat in response to Burnley FC's petition."

The CBF's response, on May 22 and signed by Director Enio Gualberto, was as follows:

"Dear sirs,

Thank you for the information provided. We confirm that Botafogo has been notified of the Proposal by the FIFA General Secretariat.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further clarification."

We contacted Botafogo and, to date, have not received a response. If a response is sent, it will be posted here.

Burnley FC has been following the news about Botafogo in recent days, with player sales (Igor Jesus has already been confirmed at Nottingham Forest, and Jair and Cuiabano should follow the same path). Therefore, Burnley has once again demanded from the Rio de Janeiro team.

Hmm, interesting. Naughty of them too. Hopefully their impending sales hurry up the payment to us.

We don't need to do that
The story is factually incorrect. Our profit from the 24/25 season when it's declared will keep us out of trouble.

We will spend plenty this summer

Meant to say 1st July to but because we have already committed to those it’s unlikely without sales we have any movement to have incomings due to PSR.

The nearly 65m loss in tv money from being a championship saved by the 80m or so we have in player sales.

The main point was theres 28 pages and we actually haven’t had a credible serious link to a player yet other than alistair campbells son deciding he was ormstien

Sky Sports reported that we're looking to sign 8 new players the other day. I think the reason that we haven't had a "credible serious link" is because it's 5th June. Chill people.

Strong potential to break the record for the earliest “criminally negligent” or “dereliction of duty” I reckon this year.

Wasn't it a tackle from Mee that fractured Gomez's leg that left Klopp moaning (a great tackle as well)

Looks like brownhill could be off to West Ham potentially
"Could be", "potentially". It's that kind of vagueness that I love on the transfer threads

RC Strasbourg have intensified negotiations with Burnley defender CJ Egan-Riley
This idea of negotiations “intensifying” is intriguing. What exactly happens?

Do biscuits get brought out?
Do they start talking a lot faster?
Or are the biscuits locked away?

Just read a click bait article suggesting we could buy Joe Gomez.alongside Ben Mee would be fun.Ben could teach Gomez how to tackle properly
Gomez a centre back? Rather have Longy!
