I would imagine it's part of his incentive to take a step down to The Championship, so that he can prove himself and not be stuck there.

I know the guy who is mentioned in the thread. He’s no reasons to lie about it tbh. But I can’t see us paying 30
Million (that’s what he’ll cost I’m guessing) for anyone this summer myself

Agree. No chance he’ll go for much more than that. It might also be that a lot of the reported €23m fee paid by Leverkusen was based on appearances, and since he’s not played that much maybe hes not cost them as much as we think.

When a player is being wasted on our bench we all this he’s losing value but other teams bench warmers seem to rise in value on UTC

For what it’s worth, I think he’d be a very good signing. A great fit and real pace that will help us on the counter next year. I think he’d start right wing as I don’t think Parker will trust Edwards to start in the Premier League but could also go through the middle, which helps. But realistically he’s unproven in the Premier League and largely unused in the Bundesliga so I think Leverkusen will be happy if they get their money back - boosts the kitty for the new manager to shape his squad.

If we are being fair neither of them players kept him out of the side.

When he featured it was more alongside them either at RM in the midfield 4, or as one of the inverted attacking midfielders in the forward three.

He was more realistically kept out of the side by Buendia, Hoffman, Adli and Bonniface all of which featured in them positions at some point.

Not a dig but more just highlighting the depth Leverkusen have and how little he will likely feature next season

Thanks for that interesting info. I don't follow German football but my point was that if he can't get regular starts at that level can we be sure he'll be good enough for the demands of the EPL
