That pretty much sums up the situation, IMHO.
£1.2m release clause? I never really understand these, but isn't that just a minimum and unlikely to be the actual fee? Perhaps other clubs will also be interested as he's not a bad player.
I would imagine it's part of his incentive to take a step down to The Championship, so that he can prove himself and not be stuck there.

It is a fixed fee, for all clubs.

As the club have been posting clips of Zeki Amdouni scoring for Switzerland recently does that mean he's likely to be staying?

I doubt it means anything really.

He's still a Burnley player, so they will post content.

Prepare to be amazed. Brownhill been offered around £80k a week.
I'd be disgusted if our club offered him 80k per week he's not worth anywhere close to that and has never impressed in the premier league.
Is he even really needed if we have Ramsey and Amdouni back?

Chelsea have signed CB Mamadou Sarr from Strasbourg - not sure whether or not that has any bearing on the CJER situation

Unless we sign anyone better than the above two, then yes
Neither has been seen to be better in their limited games or play in a similar role

Can’t see Tella costing that much even if he did move anywhere this summer. £15-£18m I reckon.

Tella has 10 goals in 79 appearances for Leverkusen, 4 in 40 this season; not particular exciting stats.

No chance they will get that for a bench player.

15-20m.

Perhaps why their not exciting stats, think it's been said about 2 or 3 of our players this season, needs a run of game's.

Agree. No chance he’ll go for much more than that. It might also be that a lot of the reported €23m fee paid by Leverkusen was based on appearances, and since he’s not played that much maybe hes not cost them as much as we think.

When a player is being wasted on our bench we all this he’s losing value but other teams bench warmers seem to rise in value on UTC

For what it’s worth, I think he’d be a very good signing. A great fit and real pace that will help us on the counter next year. I think he’d start right wing as I don’t think Parker will trust Edwards to start in the Premier League but could also go through the middle, which helps. But realistically he’s unproven in the Premier League and largely unused in the Bundesliga so I think Leverkusen will be happy if they get their money back - boosts the kitty for the new manager to shape his squad.

Players like Wirtz, who is being very strongly linked to Liverpool for well over £100m, and Schick, who scored 27 goals last season, have prevented him playing more.

If we are being fair neither of them players kept him out of the side.

When he featured it was more alongside them either at RM in the midfield 4, or as one of the inverted attacking midfielders in the forward three.

He was more realistically kept out of the side by Buendia, Hoffman, Adli and Bonniface all of which featured in them positions at some point.

Not a dig but more just highlighting the depth Leverkusen have and how little he will likely feature next season

Thanks for that interesting info. I don't follow German football but my point was that if he can't get regular starts at that level can we be sure he'll be good enough for the demands of the EPL
