If we were in Leicester's position, I'd be quietly enthusiastic about Dyche. He has proven quality at Championship level and also knows what is needed to survive in the Premier League. How he kept us up on peanuts was an amazing achievement. While is footballing reputation is more on the conservative side, the truth is when we were able to, we played some breathtaking football under him. The 27-pass goal away at Everton was mind blowing... still watch it to this day. It's a no brainer for me. He'll get Leicester promoted, even if under financial restraints. He'll steady the ship and then keep them up. I've always wondered if he'd been properly backed after getting us into Europe, where we could have gotten to.

Favourites that are viewed as “shoo ins” aren’t normally priced up at 4/6 (William Hill current odds).
Has Dyche actually shown any enthusiasm for taking the Leicester hot seat?
He’s not going to be going public shouting that he wants it but rest assured he has the enthusiasm for it.

For me Dyche ticks all the boxes for this position. I suspect it may be between Danny Rohl and him-Sheff Wed have just reduced the compensation needed to prise him away

Sean has been offered it, he's insisting on funds being available to make Josh Brownhill his first signing though.

Don't shoot the messenger.

You are obviously a man in the know.

Get down to your local branch of William Hill sharpish with a fistful of readies and take advantage of the 5/4 now on offer.

Biggest shoo-in you can get so everyone tells me. ;)

This might be another poisoned chalice
Being reported Leicester have fallen foul of FFP and could get points deduction etc
May have a struggle a la Everton

That potential points deduction was mentioned months ago. Dyche can deal with such things.

That goal was superb. But I genuinely think we were very exciting to watch in the championship. Direct but with pace and hard work. We were hardly Pulis’ stoke.

Even at premier league level. Yes we played to our strengths. But there were times we were great to watch. Including bodies on lines. And sucker punching Liverpool at turf Moor and Utd and Chelsea away among others.

According to the betting it is level pegging between the ex Everton manager and the ex Sheffield Wednesday manager.

It seems it’s a Rohl of the Dyche as to who gets the job.

I still think he would be foolish to take that job ....it's another Everton job for him ...both entitled fan bases who think they are better than Dyche

I didn’t mean he was close to getting it, just that from what I’ve been told he’d be keen on it.

Leicester seem to have done what Leicester, and a lot of clubs do, sack a manager and not have anyone lined up. Time will tell but it doesn’t look from the betting that anything is close.

A really odd time to get rid of RVN too. Getting rid of him on the cusp of pre-season instead of as soon as the season has finished, suggests indecision which fits in with not having a new manager lined up.

Reported that he went at the beginning of the new financial period for certain ‘financial purposes’

Apparently the timing of his dismissal was to avoid PSR issues. What a state the game’s in.

Not in the running for Leicester apparently.

It’s not really surprising- everyone saw how quickly and drastically Everton improved once got sacked and since then he seems to have become a parody of himself in the media.

Chris Wilder being talked about down here. They need to move fast whilst there are a few decent options about ie Rohl, O'Neil, Carrick, Wilder, Dyche (if he is keen). Suspect all could do a decent job

Wilder will have something to prove now.......

Personally, I think with a decent squad, Rohl will achieve things

I’d be very surprised if Leicester went anywhere near Dyche, I think that Everton spell will be Dyches last job in football. The modern game has moved on from dinosaur managers like Boothroyd, Megson, Pulis and Dyche.

Sean Dyche drifting like the proverbial barge.

Gary O’Neil now favourite for the Leicester job in front of Rohl and Dyche.

The two they have interviewed to date are Chris WIlder & Sean Dyche - so I'm not so sure where your barge comes in. And you can get 14/1 on Sky Bet for O'Neil.

Gary O Neil is 6/5 on skybet.

I looked and saw Wilder and O'Neil were big odds but when you log in the odds change Wilder is also 2/1 and Rohl 13/8

I'm not logged in and it is still showing O'Neil at 14/1. He may have been interviewed, I don't know, but the two I've mentioned have been.

I'm not logged in and it is still showing O'Neil at 14/1. He may have been interviewed, I don't know, but the two I've mentioned have been.
Wilder is 22/1 when you aren't logged in but he is 2/1 when you log in

The two they have interviewed to date are Chris WIlder & Sean Dyche - so I'm not so sure where your barge comes in. And you can get 14/1 on Sky Bet for O'Neil.
Surely if Dyche has interviewed, there is no way he doesnt get the job!?

Well, if they have any sense that is!

I didn’t mean he was close to getting it, just that from what I’ve been told he’d be keen on it.
He would live at home, for once!

Perhaps Mrs D might have an input as to whether that's a good idea!

Meanwhile back in the real world, the latest odds are as follows.
Gary O’Neil 2/5 (William Hill) and 4/7 (Sky Bet and Paddy Power). Dyche 6/1 (Sky Bet).
If you check the Sporting Life website you will find an article confirming Gary O’Neil as new favourite for the Leicester job. The prices they quote though have not been updated.

SkySports reporting Dyche has ruled himself out of the running.

Interviewed and now said no so O’Neil & Wilder now the likely ones. Interestingly O’Neil seems to have done well but both Bournemouth & Wolves fans I’ve spoken to were happy to see the back of him.
