Lucky for him or, he may have got left behind at the airport like Matt Target.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 12:39 pm6 million reasons it won't wasn't Sam johnstone ballpark 8 million.
It reminds me of the old Bob Lord story and the real reason why Brian Pilkington was sold.

Really want us to be in the mix for Vuskovic on loan from spurs.
A back 3 of Walker Vuskovic esteve would be fantastic

Which of his performances in the Belgian / Polish / Croatian youth leagues really stood out for you?123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 1:42 pmReally want us to be in the mix for Vuskovic on loan from spurs.

Or is he good on FIFA?
Re: Summer transfer window
Looks a big talent, but 18 years old coming in at centre back for a relegation battling PL team? I’m not so sure myself.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 1:42 pmReally want us to be in the mix for Vuskovic on loan from spurs.

Feel like we missed a trick with Ahmedhodzic 'only' going for 7 mill, though he may have fancied a move abroad.

Saw him earlier on the hard shoulder
Re: Summer transfer window
Positive signing this , brings the experience we lacked last time in the EPL , apparently good with the ball at his feet and should be a good role model for Weiss to learn from

Stand corrected then!
I'm quite pleased with our business now (if Dubravka, Big Les and Broja are definites), I think we have enough to give it a good go.

Sky reporting Ugochukwu to have a medical within 24 hrs and has agreed a 5 year deal in principal.

Gonna stick my neck out and say that's a far superior signing to Xhaka, for similar money.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 4:23 pmSky reporting Ugochukwu to have a medical within 24 hrs and has agreed a 5 year deal in principal.

Gone a bit quiet on Broja, should he not be announced by now?

Linked with a well traveled lad from Newcastle, very potent with his head.
Spent time in Turkey and recently Spain.

Can’t see the Eriksen thing being right somehow.

Eriksen would be a bit of an unnecessary luxury player IMO. I can't see many times we'll be playing with a "10" this season and he doesn't do enough off the ball to play as an 8 for us. Experience and quality but not in a role we need when we're already struggling for space in the 25 man squad.

Re: Summer transfer window
I have felt we need another centre mid even with Ugochukwu coming in - I’d not turn down Eriksen on a free transfer. I think this mix of experience and potential profit/return is ideal for us this summer. Players like Walker, Dubravka, Eriksen could be the difference makers to keep us up that all important first season. It’s not long term thinking, but when it’s backed up with the likes of Weiss, Tchouana and Ugochukwu it’s a great mix. Hypothetically, I’d only be after a centre back if these rumoured four all sign for us.

Re: Summer transfer window
Have faith in Scotty. He would immediately address our lack of free kick specialist. Stoke was a reminder that we still cannot take a threatening corner, Since Twine left we have also lacked someone who can take a direct free kick when within 30 yards of their goal. Plus I will guarrantee no one in our starting 11 can pass a ball as well as him. Even if we get just 65 minutes a game hes definitely worth bringing on. In tight games someone of his and the above skills can get you 3 pointsMattster wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 5:16 pmEriksen would be a bit of an unnecessary luxury player IMO. Another defensive CM for me would be the icing on the cake
Cullen is an excellent Championship player but, as shown two seasons ago, a bit short on strength and pace for the Premier League

Re: Summer transfer window
Absolutely fine. He seems to have been portrayed as a modern day Franz Beckenbauer on here recently so I naturally assumed it was based on something more than a preseason friendly against a league one team.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 4:50 pmWatched spurs vs reading pre season friendly other week and he looked a touch of class.
Is that ok?
Re: Summer transfer window
Runners / duel winning around him of Ugochukwu and Hannibal could work. Rotation option I think. Final third numbers at United last season up there in the top league percentiles.Mattster wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 5:16 pmEriksen would be a bit of an unnecessary luxury player IMO. Not quite - Parker left Tottenham in August 2013, and then Eriksen signed for them just over a week later.

Allowing myself to get more giddy by posting about it on here, but Eriksen would be sensational - yes not the player he was, but creativity and end product are guaranteed. An absolute no brainer.

Re: Summer transfer window
All depends how often we are going to play the 3-4-3 formation because as things stand I don’t think any of our midfield options are good enough to play as a midfield 2.Mattster wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 5:16 pmEriksen would be a bit of an unnecessary luxury player IMO. If we are playing our 3 man midfield more often like we did last season then I think Eriksen is a player that would be a great fit

He was sensational for Brentford. If he's still capable of those performances then it'd be a hell of a signing.Mattster wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 5:16 pmEriksen would be a bit of an unnecessary luxury player IMO.
