Quick question, are we allowed to sell in other windows that are still open?

Well if if that's true we have left ourselves massively short in cm as things stand. Hope there is some 2 hour paperwork in place for someone. Otherwise we could end up with an ooc like Ericsson.
Suspect Tresor and Delcroix will be off to Europe somewhere where there is a longer window.

Fofana signed for Charlton to miss open goals from three yards there for the rest of the season. Another one of the VK era whose ego was about 2000 times bigger than their ability.

So have we signed Mengi?

We have Cullen, Lesley, Florentino, Hannibal and Laurent. How is that short?summitclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 8:20 pmWell if if that's true we have left ourselves massively short in cm as things stand. Unless Big Les is the new #10 we haven’t got one. It isn’t Hannibal, good ball player though he is he doesn’t have the vision of Tresors pass to Sonne last Tuesday.

While it's not short in numbers, it seems short in creativity.
Hope to be proven wrong though. UTC.

Pretty sure "Flemming is a 10, not a 9" was the most used phrase on here last season

So we'll have some players on the books without squad numbers I guess, probably tresor and delcroix?

So just to confirm, some foreign transfer windows do remain open, but as it stands, the Tresorection is on.

Luton sold McGuinness to Sheff Utd, their starting CB so I doubt they would let Menghi go too

For me Flemming is, Edwards isn’t but SP has never played Flemming as a 10 so I doubt he’ll start now.

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Having watched our first three league games I get the impression that to compete every player, except our No 9 (Foster) is expected to defend. THats why I feel Hannibal has started all three, and why Edwards has started none. I dont think Flemming gets round the pitch quick enough to perform two roles. Only when we are chasing a game would I expect Femming alongside Foster or Broje to be still on the pitch. For me now its Cullen/Luis as DCM, Ugochukwu as ACM, then Tchaouma/Foster/Anthony front line

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
We won’t be playing a 10 we will be playing an inside right and inside left. I expect Loum or Marcus to replace Hannibal in the starting line up soon unless he starts scoring or creating. So that will be quite a dynamic front three with some real physicality behind them.
But it also means no place for Cullen.
It isn’t so much whether we have signed the players, it is whether Scott sees it the way we do for how to line them up. If he does, we have enough.

Just dont see Scott dropping Cullen-he offers too much and to date been one of our most consistent. He is also one of the best passers in the teamCrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 10:23 pmWe won’t be playing a 10 we will be playing an inside right and inside left. Which of the two €25m midfielders will he leave out so Josh can play?warksclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 10:47 pmJust dont see Scott dropping Cullen-he offers too much and to date been one of our most consistent. He is also one of the best passers in the team
Or will he change formation?
(personally, I would change formation and play Les in the 10 for the first 60 mins, I just cannot see it happening)
Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
We now have the midfield personal to play 433CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 12:34 amWhich of the two €25m midfielders will he leave out so Josh can play?

Cullen Luis Les
Loum Lyle Anthony

Agreed. There seems to be a numbers of posters obsessed that we need to play a ‘10’. There are other teams that play 3 in midfield without a ‘10’.

Looks like we are expecting to bring in a free agent with Tresor and Delcroix still expected to go out on loan according to the Bexpress.

The page is unusable on my phone for some reason. Does it give a name or an idea for the free agent we’re looking at?

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Don’t think it does.
My reading between the lines is that the Burnley Express Benson, Tresor and Delcroix all depart, which leaves 26 in the squad - 1 too many.
Two are Beyer and Amdouni though, who possibly won’t be registered so that might leave one spare spot.
There’s a couple of free agents who might be available to then fill that spot if we wanted.

Beyer back in light training after a little set back could explain why we did not bring a cab in?

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
My post was just suggesting Parker will stick with five at the back. I personally prefer a four. Though because of our weakness at RCB I doubt he will move Walker to have him rampaging down the wing and leaving Ekdal exposed. I would do it though, now that Luis, who could be the best tackler and interceptor in the Premier League, is here to cover. We need Walker where he excels.

Brilliant news if true. I hadn't seen that. Pleased to see it only seems to have been a minor setback.
