Or to put it another way, weve lost one of the last 4 away from home.summitclaret wrote:Well we have a massive total of 4 points away with what we normally do. Can't get much worse.

Unfortunately we've lost two, both on Merseyside.claretspice wrote:Or to put it another way, weve lost one of the last 4 away from home.

Re: Team without Barton
That's one way too dress up 1 win in 12 by completely ignoring results against 7 teams in the league. I think 0 wins away from home in almost a year makes ripping up our approach and starting from scarce a completely reasonable solution.claretspice wrote:But our results have been ok against the teams we're competing with, ie those outside the top 7. Weve only won 1 since the end of Jan, but weve only lost 2 - one of those when we played 85 minutes with 10 men, one in the last minute. Thats despite the vast majority of those games being away.
We're a bit low on confidence and not at our best but there's nothing to justify completely ripping up our approach and starting from scarce. We tried it once and got trained by an out of form Leicester.

Which is more disingenuous, ignoring results against a third of the league or ignoring half of our results in the season?KRBFC wrote:That's one way too dress up 1 win in 12 by completely ignoring results against 7 teams in the league. Re: Team without Barton
I don't understand why people take our away form as a singular item and ignore our home form. If we need to scrap everything and start again because of away form does that mean we need to keep everything the same because of our home form. We all know that our record next season will be different home form and away we will have different players and maybe a slightly different method. We are a small fish in a big pond and will be next season as well i hope people will start to realise we are what we and just support or at least save there moaning for the internet.

Re: Team without Barton
No it means we need a different approach away. Anyway we have been sussed now home and away in imo. We are limping to safety like 633 squadron returning from a WW2 mission. I still think we will make it, which would be a massive achievement for a small club, but a lot of investment is needed for next season.
Re: Team without Barton
I was talking about our approach just away from home. I believe we can play different players/formations/systems away and home. We can continue doing what has worked at home but completely rip up the plans and start again for the away games which was my point, I opened myself up for this response because I didn't clarify that well enough.Tall Paul wrote:Which is more disingenuous, ignoring results against a third of the league or ignoring half of our results in the season?

Nobody ignored the home form, read my post above. I didn't put it across well enough but I meant continue doing what has worked at home but scrap everything for only away games.

Re: Team without Barton
Apologies have no problem intention of reading all posts, but if I have missed something fine and you aren't the only person talking about the away form KR. Everyone including Dyche and team accept the away form isn't right we need to change something that isn't going to happen this season though we may still win our last 2 which shouldn't paper over it. People seem to forget in a few od the games we have lost we have played quite well it is what it is though.

Wow never type on a phone whilst eating made a bit of a mess of that last post. Anyway hopefully Defour gets game time I agree with others though that it will only happen if we switch to a 3 in midfield.

Re: Team without Barton
I'd like him to line up as a 4-5-1, with a central 3 of Defour, Westwood and Hendrick with Brady and JBG pushing forward to support Gray. Unfortunately it is a bit risky playing a central midfield three when you've only got 3 first team central midfielders, which is why I expect Dyche to stick with 4-4-2 as per the United game, just swapping out Mee and Barton for Tarkowski and Defour.

20/1 odds still available if anyone convinced we're going down.

Re: Team without Barton
If you agree Sunderland and Boro will be the bottom 2 in that order you can get 28/1 on us being 18th
Re: Team without Barton
got to agree Dyche has got us this near to staying up and he will complete the job!Lancasterclaret wrote:I'd understand changing to a 4-5-1, but not changing to something we have never used this season.
