Well worth a read thanks for that Happy and welcome back to the world of racing on uptheclarets.
He has some interesting views and quotes on sites stats etc ..
"A Racing Post article asked five top breeders for their favourite new sires. Overwhelming support for Getaway and Ask. Getabird, Verdana Blue.
Ruby Walsh RTE Dublin Festival weekend made the point that we tend to make too much of the sire of the winner and should concentrate more on he breeding on the dam's side as that's where the stamina tends to comes from. Not enough time, maybe for another year."
Glad so see the experts don't think Getaway is a bad sire , and that the dam is equally if not more important than the sire, as do many including one of the greatest horse breeders of all time Frederico Tesio called ....the only genius ever to operate in the breeding world", and the breeder of Nearco and Ribot
So let's not make sweeping generalisations about sires and there influence, just to back up a view of a particular horse on a particular day ... because 99% of the time it's not relevant .. especially if your ignoring the dam

Popcorn time
FB gets a whole host of cronies tearing apart his threads when he has a bad day.
FB comments on a thread stating the same thing as the OP link and people don't like it.
Any chance you could go for the equal stakes challenge with FB with your tips Happy?

Thanking Happy for posting a link to a worthwhile read . And highlighting an important view on sire stats within the link .. just because it's a different view to the opening poster and happens to be my view also . You go off on oneTVC15 wrote:Flyingbolt

If someone had posted saying Sean Dyche was worst manager in the premiership but the stats didn't back it up,. I'm pretty sure there would be a debate about it .. rather then your childish outburst
Suggest you look at some of the comments on my racing threads .. not particularly nice .. or interesting and from the usual suspects .. but I don't go off on one like you .
I continue to post my views .. and record my p/l .. do you object to that too ?

not arsed about what the link or FB is saying, just making the point that he's the one who started the squabbling on these threads and his post above is doing exactly the same again even after its been pointed out to him plenty of times before.bfccrazy wrote:FB comments on a thread stating the same thing as the OP link and people don't like it.
its tedious AF.
genuinely no idea why he can't just post his selections without commenting on anyone else's. there wouldn't have been any of this petty ******** flying about if he'd just done that.

Just pointing out a different view to sire stats .. Not squabbling... I do post my selections and record my p/l ..and have done consistently over the last weeks ... why don't you critisice the many who try to disrupt them with abuse and inaccurate information ?

Because if you don't want any opposition to your views - don't post them on a public forum where they can be challengedquoonbeatz wrote:not arsed about what the link or FB is saying, just making the point that he's the one who started the squabbling on these threads and his post above is doing exactly the same again even after its been pointed out to him plenty of times before.

I haven't seen any squabbling from FB if anything it's the "opposition " for the record like it or not I'm following Gordon Elliot at Cheltenham and jockey jack Kennedy .any decent priced Mullins runners I will back as well.
Re: Cheltenham trends
I blocked you months ago - but just noticed that as soon as Happy posts something - which he now rarely does because of you - that you can't wait to get on the thread and criticise. Why do you feel the need to do that ?Flyingboltclaret wrote:Thanking Happy for posting a link to a worthwhile read . It's pathetic that you try and come across as all innocent when it's abundantly clear that you are trying to wind him and others up and drive him off the Board.
Happy does post his P/L - just not on this board. He has no interest in competing with you. He's forgotten more about horse racing than you will ever know.
You just come across as a bitter sad f-uck craving a bit of attention.....back to being blocked now - ta ta loser.

im guessing that last post and your recent ones on the racing thread sums up what your agenda is .. all your posts have been Critical and negative ones .. and abusive ...
The idea that you have that you can't comment or give your views on threads started by certain posters .. is arrogant and ridiculous.. And your views or lack of them on any racing related thread won't be missed .

The only views I have ever expressed on a racing thread is in relation to you and your pathetic attempts to drive him off a board where he was appreciated by a number of people. The ONLY person with any kind of agenda has been you. The embarrassing contribution you made to this thread proves it more than ever.
I can just see you in your bedsit getting aroused when you realised Happy had posted a new thread for the first time in a while. I bet you exploded with excitement.

i hardly bother reading these threads anymore as they've degenerated, just like the last time you started posting on here. i'm not criticising you, again, just pointing out the fact that you're still seemingly oblivious to, that it was you who started it all.Flyingboltclaret wrote:Just pointing out a different view to sire stats .. Re: Cheltenham trends
don't think that was the problem, it wasn't so much that there was an opposing view it was more that it was based on rubbishing happy's methods constantly. i think that's what he took umbrage to and, given that he never commented on FB's reasoning, that's what caused all the bickering.bfccrazy wrote:Because if you don't want any opposition to your views - don't post them on a public forum where they can be challenged

anyway, i'll remain neutral and leave you lads to it. i'd rather there were any number of decent tipsters on here as plenty of people seem to like a flutter, just a shame they have to criticise each other.

The racing threads of recent weeks have degenerated because posters like TVC15 admit that there only posts on the racing threads are in relation to me .. they have no interest in the subject but didn't want me to post my views
Surely anyone can reply to any thread on this board and give their views .. which contradict others .. that's all I've ever done .. and posted my selections and my P/l for all to see
Ive removed Happy from the p/l as requested but it seems anytime I post anything that disagrees with Happy .. not critising him ( tho there's nothing wrong with that , and you should see some of the posts critiscing me ) the " dogs " come out of their kennels to bite
Check the footy posts .. and all the different views and critics on them ...

He has commented on my reasoning... called me a clown , said I know nothing about racing .. even said I'd never been to Burnley and wasn't a Burnley fan .. all untrue.
I like you have always appreciated his views .. but not always agreed with them ..
Re: Cheltenham trends
Very selective memory haven't you FB.
It would have been very simple and easy if you would have just stuck to your own tips thread instead of criticising Happy. That way we could have all just chosen which thread(s) we chose to read. You are the one who started this and you know very well that you were trying to antagonise Happy from the off.
It's funny that until you started criticise Happy I can't remember one poster who had anything bad to say about Happy - whether his tips won or not there was general appreciation of the fact that he was prepared to share his research with no strings attached. Anyone following him (or you) blindly deserved to lose money.
The whole thing about posting P/Ls and making it a competition is also not necessary...but again you did this to wind him up.

The whole idea of the p/l was to give information so posters could decide .. and even those who disagree with me said it was a good idea .. It's not designed as a competition it's just an accurate record of selections, as you see in the Racing Oist etc
Why Happy chose to post his own p/l is beyond me.. perhaps because his actual selections weren't as profitable as he made out
Can't see why all selections and racing opinions shouldn't be in the same thread
Think the criticism from others of Happy stems from the fact that he and his followers give the impression that he is the only one who should post about racing , that he should have his own thread , and that he shouldn't be questioned .. making him out to be some kind of "racing god " The negative comments and constant sniping havnt helped either .. with not a single one of his followers posting anything about racing
It's a message board .. if you post your views expect them to be questioned etc
Anyway I'm happy to post my selections and my p/l .. Its an interesting exercise and I fully expect to show a big loss .. but with selective staking and decent priced winners hopefully some posters might make a few bob
It's just a bit of fun
Let's just agree to disagree
