Pointing out a ‘fact’ may be correct, however using it as reason to have another referendum to get the result you want?

Re: Brexit: The Naked Truth
We gave gone from a few ultra remainers wanting a rigged question in a second vote to a major political party today saying that they will. What's worse is that that party has been complaining about delays and is now prepared to make the uncertainty go on for ages.
Corbyn was as clear as mud this morning on how he would vote in his proposed rigged referendum.

Back-to-Front defends the right to end democracy by an all-party political coup (as of Nazi Germany 1933) and to cede all power to the EU to undermine Britain and if you don't like it, you're a Nazi.

What's all this use of you lot. Nobody on this board was involved in negotiations with the EU. That was carried out by a remainer......So your lot screwed it up would be a much more accurate inaccuracy.Lancasterclaret wrote:I wouldn't say that, I'd say that you lot have proper ****** this up and caused a national shitstorm and the probable break up of the UK and haven't got an actual plan apart from saying "all other plans are not our dream brexit" is a good reason to have another referendum.
The more you lot mess this up, the more support 2nd ref/remain gets. Thats what the polls say, and that is what the underlying trends back*
*I'm aware that an expert poll isn't the same as talking to your mates in the 19th hole about how Brexit means Brexit and that you all don't know anyone who would vote remain, so I'll understand fully if you want to ignore that.

Whose triumphant? Not me, I'm depressed about how badly its gone and just how many people think its all the fault of something other than actual Brexit itself.
Only a complete nutter would be proud of how we've messed up the last two years.
But okay, whatever floats your boat.

That’s not true, I believed Tommy regarding the stuchberry incident that far left wing activists & jihadi lawyers were harassing him & his family, I don’t believe everything he says, if you wish to re-engage regarding brexit on a more sensible grounded footing I’m more than happy to, I intervened earlier as it applied generally & this thread seemed to going off topic as threads such as these often have the tendency to do. I could quite have easily left you & damo quarrelling & probably should have done, as it’s becoming more apparent having an advanced & mature debate is probably beyond you.Greenmile wrote:This is ironic, coming from the guy who believes every word that convicted fraudster “Tommy Robinson” says on YouTube (or wherever it is that he’s not been banned from spreading his poison).

Re: Brexit: The Naked Truth
On page 44 of this thread there was some discussion about people changing their mind and someone put some YouGov polling data to which you statedJakubclaret wrote:Or you could alternatively reason that people aren’t below you intellectually & more than capable of deciding for themselves what to believe & not what to believe, just a idea to take onboard.
"I don’t care for the graphs & charts or what the experts say to be perfectly honest as I know it’s all designed to dupe the brexiteers & the 1s doubting to sway, I’ve mentioned this before so why you consider this relevant in countering my post, I’ve no idea."
You then asked
"When canvassing opinion to collate this chart, was it broad based amongst all sections of society or outside colleges & universities."
As a satirical joke I replied (to which I didn't think anyone could take my post seriously)
"Source data states it was a completely diverse cross section of Gender Studies students from Edinburgh University so in answer to your question - Yes it was broad based"
Unbelievably without question and probably because its what you wanted to hear you replied
"Thanks, students & university, pretty much tells me what I wanted to know."
And then used my post as evidence in your argument about the poll not being reliable stating
"The university students stand to lose out with brexit so why would i take seriously a graph/chart compiled by them, it's akin to asking young girls ect if they think justin bieber is good looking or asking anjem choudary & abu hamza if they think sharia law is a good idea."
Now this shows that either people by nature are just likely to take a lot of stuff on face value as truth unless it is counter argued or that you are right and maybe you are just one of the few not intellectually capable of deciding for yourself what to and what not to believe.
I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you are more than capable intellectually but that you are wrong about Greenmiles opinion that without challenge lies and mis-information will be believed and used to form opinions by bright and intelligent people especially in the Brexit context where people are so attached to an ideological position and/or desperate for their view to be right

Dunno, JRM says he going to vote for the deal, and that its actually "Brexit"
I'm expecting his hordes of fans on here to call him out for basically wasting six months of vital time so he and his ERG chums could pretend they were relevant but I won't be holding my breath.

Apparently there's still a hardcore of about 30 Tory MPs that will vote against. So even if the DUP are convinced to vote for the deal it will need some more Labour defectors to get through. I guess we'll know by the end of today whether the vote is going to happen tomorrow.Lancasterclaret wrote:Dunno, JRM says he going to vote for the deal, and that its actually "Brexit"

You're trying to entirely misrepresent what he's just said.
Before you tell blatant lies to suit your twisted agenda, you may want check that nobody else is also listening to LBC, and that they're not in a position to highlight your fibs.

Re: Brexit: The Naked Truth
I'm listening to exactly the same thing as Ringo is, and I'm looking at the reports on twitter from LBC.
He's backing the deal. The one I back, and the one that Ringo doesn't.
Ringo probably been screaming "traitor" at the radio and missed it.
This is what he said
"JRM: "Mrs May's deal, however bad it is, takes us out of the European Union."

To be fair JRM is saying he's still undecided and that the decision of the DUP will have a massive influence on how he votes.

No chance. he's laying the groundwork for a climbdown.
He's just understanding a bit later than everybody else that this is Brexit. Anything else ends in "No Brexit".
Abnd when he votes for the deal Ringo, I'll be expecting your apology.

Re: Brexit: The Naked Truth
Oh he's certainly doing that, he's even delegated his decision making to the DUP. He's finally realised that no deal won't happen despite his protestations that 'it's the law'; he's finally realised that it's not in any other EU county's interest to veto an extension; he's finally realised that if a deal isn't agreed in the next few days then Brexit may well be off.Lancasterclaret wrote:No chance. he's laying the groundwork for a climbdown.

Re: Brexit: The Naked Truth
Okay, lets look at it another way Ringo
Do you think JRM is going to vote for Mays deal or not based on us both listening to the same show?
If you want to claim the win that he didn't exactly say that, then you can have it.
But then you don't get to claim to be understanding what he said then, which is clearly that he will vote for the deal.
He's given himself a weak DUP link to try to hoodwink people that he's doing it for the best of reasons (but the DUP are under loads of pressure from within NI who actually like the backstop) but he's flipped. You know it.

Re: Brexit: The Naked Truth
Exactly Martin. Exactly.
Its what the political commentators are saying as well.
I got that quote that Ringo is very keen on highlighting from one who then says that JRM is going to change his vote.
But lets concentrate on what is important here
The meaning of the word "evidence".......no, that was last weeks hobby horse, this week its "Lancaster claret is a liar"
I'm supremely not bothered by that, but would expect a lot of Brexiteers to be very bothered by JRM stance. But for some daft reason, Ringo is ignoring that and concentrating on calling me a liar.
Its laughable really.
