The two worst seasons of football I’ve watched were the last season and Dyches last season.

Bayern coming in for Kompany has taken a lot of fans by surprise, but in hindsight it makes sense.
Dyche was successful results wise and fans got worried every time a job came up, but he never got lured away in all his years at Burnley. That was because of his style of football.
Vinny comes along , young, ambitious & speaks a handful of languages plus he knows how to play attractive football .
He's certainly made mistakes but still knows how to play football.
I can't blame him for going & wish him well. He was always going to go at some point, there was only a project in Paces eyes.
At least we have plenty of time to get our ship in order.
Spot on

Just been linked with one of the biggest clubs in the world. You can’t blame him at all tbh.
I get that much! But what has he done- has he asked for the move?

I love how our fan base thinks we played good football this season as well.
Worst football I’ve ever seen us play was this season.
You have obviously only been watching us for 3 seasons at most.

So if you want a top job in football, what you need to do is play youngsters, get them playing 'the right way', and lose every other week and put it down to the players being inexperienced and not good enough, and hey presto, there you go?
Insane business.

Nobody knows barring VK, if someone like Bayern wants to talk, what do you say, f..k off, he has done nothing wrong.
That’s what I thought. I can’t see any evidence of him inciting a move or even that he is interested.

We are talking about a man who managed 0.08 points per game more in the PL than Brian Laws, who inherited a deflated group of players whose main attribute had been self belief and team spirit. This man then gets the opportunity to manage one of the biggest teams in the world….gulp!

You’re also missing the style of last season. The potential is clear to see. We had the best players / most technical in the league - guess what Bayern have? Enzo Maresca already placed as a frontrunner for Chelsea.

Baffling how although he signed a new lucrative long term contract with us he is allowed to discuss a new job with Bayern and if it doesn’t suit .. he trudges back into Turf Moor looking for the file saying Project on it …..

Alright - what about his time at Anderlecht then? Why is that not being factored in?
We had a bloody good core group of model pros that kept all that together as well - that's been apparent this year given how disorganised we've looked on the pitch at times.

Their £147m (I’d ‘suppressed this saying 144) wage bill is literally in their recent accounts. Their spend has been reported in most places given the spotlight placed on their rule breaking this season.
Burnley’s spend was reported at £90m in the Athletic last week. Arguably could be less now we’ve been relegated and staying up clauses won’t be met. Wage bill of around £40m last season (£50m in accounts including promotion bonuses), so a 50-60% increase isn’t outlandish, given the make up of our signings were mainly young or from low paying foreign leagues.
Thanks for questioning though.

I don't disagree with the later paragraphs, but it isn't true to say that Anderlecht have just had their best season in ages. They are currently third, as they were in Kompany''s last season two years ago.

It wasn't for trying though.
I thought it was common knowledge that Dyche wanted the Palace job a few years ago to the point that he actually thought he got it.
Sunderland job, virtually all done until Dick Advocaat decided to stay on
Palace enquired, I believe, but were put off by the buy out clause in Dyche’s contract
Some people on here will tell you Dyche was never attracting interest from other clubs though to suit their agendas

Football is labelled the ‘beautiful game’. I guess it depends on your interpretation of that? For me it involves aesthetically pleasing football, you know, where you turn to a mate and say ‘woah that was seriously good football’. When the ball bypasses the midfield frequently and you are playing on %’s and for set pieces then that beautiful aspect gets lost. Cruyff’s total football, Brazil’s world dominating teams, Spains back to back Euros - World Cup - its nothing new.
Then I guess the argument why people want to see it more now is for entertainment, given how much it costs to get to games now? Spurs went from Pochettino’s high intensity, fast flowing attacking football to Mourinho and Conte sitting on 1-0 leads and stinking the place out. Interestingly both of the latter two aren’t up to much these days…

And yet ... compare the crowd reaction to a scruffy own goal to the crowd reaction to a sweeping 25-pass move that finishes back with the goalkeeper. Sometimes goals provide the entertainment.
Few of us were entertained by Burnley's supposedly attractive play last season. Good luck to those who were.

Sunderland job, virtually all done until Dick Advocaat decided to stay on
Palace enquired, I believe, but were put off by the buy out clause in Dyche’s contract
Some people on here will tell you Dyche was never attracting interest from other clubs though to suit their agendas
I was told that Palace definitely wanted Dyche and Dyche was keen.

Told by whom?
Dyche?
Dyche interviewed for the Palace job in 2017 but they appointed Frank de Boer instead.
