She's OK, at least it's lively.
Check out her work with St. Vincent.
I think she is better than ok tbh, I've not seen too much of her, much better voice live than I thought she would have

I think it's aimed at the younger section of the crowd but I get what you are talking about, considering some of the tracks are quite disco oriented it's coming across a bit flat even though I do think she is singing very well considering all the dancing. Good luck to her though, non offensive and does actually have a very good voice for the style of music
I was expecting a bit more funky disco backing. The band might as well have been a backing track.

So….. As much as this is a very professional and well rehearsed performance (she did say that they have been practicing since January for this gig) and she is definitely a talented performer, I still think that Britney Spears would do it better and provide more energy and dynamic.

I think it’s a shame we never got to see Taylor Swift headline like 2020 was supposed to be. She’s probably too big for it now.

Sort of agree Dua Lipa has been a bit ‘by numbers’ but much better last half hour or so where the tracks seem to be in a more house mix for some reason. All the better for it.

yes, I do think she would have done more "Glasto' versions of the tracks

I'm enjoying it for what it is though, like I said earlier, she seems a non offensive down to earth type, good luck to her

If they can get Jay-Z to do it at the absolute peak of his powers then they'll get her to do it for sure.

It’s too sterile for me. I just don’t like
‘Live’ performances that sound just like the record.

Looking forward to Michael Kiwanuka today.

I don’t know. I like her albums and she can clearly sing, but there’s something lacking about this as a headline performance.
It felt very "2nd stage headliner". Just lacked that oomph.

Trouble is there is a lack of traditional headliners that haven't recently done the gig already.

Can’t find the video after looking. There was one knocking about on Instagram where she has clearly ripped off for 4/5 of “her” biggest songs.

Yes, the guy’s been widely called out for it, as the songs are literally off an album called Future Nostalgia which contain deliberate interpolations of earlier songs she had listened to while growing up. Break My Heart, which samples INXS - Need You Tonight, credits Michael Hutchence, for example.

Idles was a proper Glasto performance. Dua Lipa, who has made some great pop records, was more Radio One Roadshow, which is what Glasto has become if we be honest.

Caught up on lcd. - great band saw them around 2017 in manchester well worth watching though may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Not a dua lipa fan - but fair play to the girl she put on a show of energy and catchy pop tunes , though at times it was like hearing snippets of music from my youth intervwoven into her own pastiche for the festival..

Ha we were probably at the same LCD gig - seen them four times in Manc now, always fantastic. Looks like James has been hitting the gym recently too.

Assuming this was about Dua Lipa? It sums up my thoughts on that performance anyway. Nothing against her. Seemed to put on a show for those into it but it felt a bit beige/manufactured for me.
