I wonder if that's Padihams record win?
Or even away win?

Didn't Padiham once beat Burnley 10 - 0? It would have been in the mid 1880s.

Just noticed Alex Rae Harvey played for Colne last night. Think they've got him on one of those dual registration things. Another defeat unfortunately so still rooted to the bottom of the league.

Why are they called The Storks ? And why is the ground called The Arbories ? I have seen a few games there in the sixties but not been for a very long time. My grandfather ran a fish and green grocers on Burnley Rd when I was a kid (1950’s)
Because storks have thin necks?

Padiham at home to Horden Community Welfare (Near Sunderland) this Saturday in the FA Vase 1st round proper, Padiham have had to win 2 qualifying rounds to get to this round and should be favourites against lower opposition.

Padiham were fantastic yesterday. From the first minute they pressed well and looked extremely sharp on a heavy pitch.

Someone involved up at Padiham.
I must have misunderstood, did he just take over then?
One of the Wythenshawe teams were trying to sign a Padiham player, offering £500 a game.
Just read that Wythenshawe Town have been suspended from playing in the NPL. Not been paying their debt to the HMRC, thats probably how they can or could offer big wages.

Padiham travel to Albion Sports Saturday in the FA Vase 2nd round. They play at Bradford Park Avenues ground.
A win for the Storks would see them into the 3rd round where the completion becomes national as to who you can draw, at the moment it’s still local-ish to areas.
Padiham beat Thornaby away in the 1st Qualifying round.
Then they beat Penrith away in the 2nd Qualifying round.
Then beat Horden in the 1st round proper.
It’s already an excellent cup run for the Storks, could get even better as I’d imagine they are favourites going into Saturday.

If you're looking for goals then come and watch Padiham. A 5-5 draw today in the Vase at Albion Sports in Bradford.
They were 2-0 up, 3-1 up, 4-2 up and then conceded 3 goals in the last 10 minutes before equalising in the 97th minute!
They lost 5-3 on penalties. What a match, only witnessed by 120 spectators, most of whom had travelled over from Lancashire.

Strange game. Albion Sports looked horrific for the first 10/15 minutes and Padiham should have been 4 up.
By the end though, Padiham were hanging on with 10 men.
They did brilliant to get their 5th and equalise though.

Looks like Padiham will win 3-1 at Charnock Richard and Colne have won a do against 6th place West Didsbury and Chorlton.
Both results good for Padiham's league position.

A very entertaining game and the Storks could have scored 6 or 7 a healthy crowd of 242 with half of them from Padiham

Likelihood of the game being on tomorrow? I'd say pretty unlikely with heavy rain forecast on still frozen ground. Shame to have to rearrange a derby game for midweek, especially with Burnley being away.

Padiham travel to table toppers Rammy United this Saturday, what’s chances of it being on ? With this bad storm that’s expected.
Rammys pitch is poor on a good day.

Couple of interesting games for Colne.
Drew 1-1 last Saturday and won 1-0 the week before. In both games they were down to 9 men with 2 players seeing red !
The Colne goals scored in both games were crackers from the centre forward they have just signed back from Nelson.
After a dreadful start to the season when they lost a lot of players, managers etc they have started picking up again recently.
Strange things going on at Nelson getting rid of their manager after such a strong season. Ex claret Gerry Harrison (who was last year assistant at Colne) now manager at Nelson
