Jesus people got to take the rough with the smooth. We didn’t lose. Another clean sheet. Another point on the board.
Or alternatively: we didn't win. We didn't score. Two more points dropped.
I know it's not easy breaking sides down who park the bus buy at least show a bit of intent. That's three 0-0 at home now against **** poor teams and we haven't looked like winning one of them.

That is a really **** result.
Can't fault Parker, all that possession, all those chances, it's the players to blame. I said a couple of months ago, I feared we'd be better away from home because there is less pressure and expectation on the players. The main difference between Leeds, Sheff Utd and us is confidence. You can't coach that.
The sad thing is we'd looked like we were turning the corner. The performances have improved, but the final third is as bad as ever.
Parker set the side up, he played Laurent bronwhill and cullen against derby, at home with a number 10 playing as a striker.

Just been watching the last few minutes of the Leeds game
Our team needs to look at a recording to see how they attack when most sides would be sitting on a 2-1 lead with 6 minutes to go
Was just going to post this myself.

If this team went up it would be embarrassing every game. Only Esteve could handle playing in the PL....the rest aren’t even close.

We should have hammered that lot and at the end they didn't have many, but had the better chances. We are seriously lacking up top and it's a real problem, especially as we cannot breakdown these teams that park the bus.

Let’s try buying a blood and guts no 9 and start launching a few diagonal crosses into the box ,because if media darlings Arsenal are the best thing since sliced bread scoring off corners why can’t we play a bit more direct as an option to break teams down.
I watched Anthony pass a corner to a Derby player on the ground tonight. There’s a long long way to compare that to how Arsenal do set pieces

A depressing performance. Sat there thinking we wouldn’t score in a month of Sunday’s from about the 30th minute onwards sadly. Bizarre after such a good game against Boro where we showed urgency and impetus - and I don’t put that down to Derby and the ‘low block’ (I.e, an excuse trotted out to undermine your opposition and make allowances for your own inadequacies), I put it down to a poor team selection and repetitious attacks that clearly weren’t working.
I’m never one to single individuals out, or I try not to, but I’m starting to feel like eleven games or whatever it has been now of Flemming is enough to start making assessments. Out of position or not, he looks slow, unfit and doesn’t offer anything of note. He is not the answer - we have to sign a forward player in January.

I think the OP got it right with the thread title. We were a proper team of bumbaclarts tonight (apart from the defence and keeper I would say). Either that or he accidentally cursed us with the misspelling?!?

We are miles away from a squad that could survive in the PL. Even with a couple of additions in January we would struggle badly. We need another season of rebuilding after the huge turnover of players.

I'm absolutely sick of the abuse I get on here.
If we were playing fabulous football and winning games easily, like 2 seasons ago, and I was saying negative comments, I can understand people questioning it. But people being offensive because I make comments about this style of football is just bizarre.

He’s allowed one off game, he’s been very good for the last 4 or 5 games, it’s players like Pires and Flemming who have been consistently poor that need calling out

I think Pace has got it wrong with Parker, his style of play and tactics do not work with this group of players, we need someone who is a little more willing to to take the handbrake off and punish weaker teams.

Connor Roberts was a regular on the bench for them as well and he's one of our best players.
I just don't think people realise how much quality we're lacking in this side compared to the last time out - Tella, Maatsen, Zaroury, Benson & Jay/Barnes (of two seasons ago) - all massive upgrades on what we have available right now.

What's that got to do with he fact that you and another poster were talking about having a fight. Which I can scarcely believe I'm typing.
Your comments now, are a lot tamer than they were. But there was a month period where it genuinely felt like the messageboard was spammed you were posting so much stuff about Parker. So you can't be that suprised that they are people who are less tolerant of you now because of it. It hasn't just happened out of thin air, has it.

I usually wait until the following day to post but I've come of the turf fuming tonight. Basically we've effectively played a 4-6-0 again, against a team set up 4-5-1. Playing 5 central midfielders (Cullen, Brownhill, Laurent on the left, then Sarmiento crammed into the middle, with Flemming, another midfielder/forward, as a lone striker). It's an absolute joke, it's tedious, dull and uninspiring. We're not a patch on the side we had 2 seasons ago and we'll barely make the playoffs. Players playing out of position, it's awful, no width, no urgency, and no idea with the ball. It's the same every week. I don't like singling out players but Anthony and Pires were miles off it tonight and way too predictable. And don't get me started on corners and set pieces.

I’m calling it now I think he goes after Blackburn away. 3 of the next 5 away none of them easy, I think we’ll be lucky to get 6 points (2 home games Watford and Stoke) from those 5 based on the quality of opposition and pace and co will pull the trigger.

I don't mind Anthony and Pires having off nights as they have played well for the most part. It is the slow build up play that annoys me and the 3 defensive midfielders against weaker opposition. We should be hammering these teams but Parker seems to be too scared to give a goal away. It's the 'if you can't win at least get a point' mentality but the problem is that we can win but aren't allowed to throw the kitchen sink at them.

Parker isn’t going anywhere, like it or not.
Tonight was rank bad but whilst we’re still on course for the play-offs at least, a new manager would do more harm than good and potentially derail us.
