No. Trafford was shocking. Even in pre-season they had 2 games each, Muric kept a clean sheet against Benfica and made saves Trafford cost us a goal in both of his. The season started with the defence in front of him having no confidence in him and he didn’t help matters with his performances. Thankfully he showed his true potential last season.

From February onwards, yes. But only after being played in every single game (starting all but one) up until that point, mostly on his favoured wing and for 90 minutes in the vast majority of games - something not afforded to any other forward/winger in the squad.

Anthony wasn’t playing mostly on his favoured wing at all, it was only from February onwards that Anthony got the left wing spot.

Anthony and Roberts actually started to get a good partnership on the right.

The left wingers were a mix of koleosho, Sarmiento, Hannibal and foster and none of time nailed the position down and then we signed Edwards, had our first choice wingers and never looked back

Thanks for using two pre-season quotes from me to justify your argument re: Trafford in the Premier League.

No he wasn’t shocking. He had some difficult games and Kompany hung him out too dry. Then we got Muric back and we saw some proper poor goalkeeping.

Every man and there dog could see that Koleosho had lost a yard and struggled right from the very first game.

Anthony wasn’t spectacular first half of the season but he was still performing better than Koleosho.

It’s not to say Koleosho won’t improve but to suggest Koleosho should have started ahead of him last season is just insane after the stinkers he threw in.

If Anthony was better than Koleosho at the start /in the first half of the season it was only marginal and completely predictable given he got to go straight in on his favoured wing whilst Koleosho was shunted off to the weaker one. Anthony's first 10 games all came on the left wing. Koleosho didn't get 10 appearances on the left total, let alone back to back.

Anthony came good in February, until then he was poor. It took him time to get form despite not missing 6 months through injury the season before. Yet Koleosho is expected to hit the ground running from day one to justify his place.

Saudi Premier League are bringing in rules saying all goalkeepers have to be from Saudi Arabia. Also I think they have low tax rates in Turkey so the money's pretty good, that's why Osimhen and Duran and Sane are there.

But I don’t understand what you’re even arguing. You’re even admitting yourself that Anthony was better (even if it was marginal).

Agreed-have seen him play at least twice live, and he is immense. Maybe not one of his best seasons with injury/form, but he is still immense, exceptionally brave, commanding and one hell of a shop stopper. Plus I have not seen a GK hit a 70-80 yard pass with such precision as him.Surprised no one in Germany, France or Italy has not gone for him

Yes you’re spot on, these three positions are essential. At some point soon we’re going to lose the third of our four best players from last season so these three positions need strengthening with some big hitters.

I think we've had a very good transfer window so far, but it was done very early which I think has left a lot of fan's heads and has made them think we haven't done much. We're in a very good position as even worst case scenario, loans could be enough. But I fully expect we will bring 2-3 more to fill the gaps we need.
