The club said the FAB reacted ‘positively’ to the changes. If this was not the case and they have been publicly misrepresented, any normal person would resign in protest.

So either they were happy/don’t care about the lack of consultation with the wider fan base or they value being ‘in the know’ more than the impact this may have on other fans.
Neither me or you know what opposition these changes were met with from the Fan Advisory Board so we cant make assumptions either way. The 2nd paragraph there is probably a little unfair without the facts really.

Pace said (published on the website).

The positivity from the Fan Advisory Board was great to see and these changes are going to help to take the experience at Turf Moor to the next level

Perhaps it is just me, but if I was a FAB member and I did not react positively, I would definitely resign at that statement. I do think Pace is hiding behind them massively on this issue, but they are allowing that to happen by not resigning in protest.

If FAB members did raise concerns, were ignored and feel stitched up by Pace’s statement, then I can’t understand why would you continue being his human shield.

Fair enough if you think the second para is unfair and you’re right, we don’t have all the facts. The only publicly available facts we have (as far as I’m aware) is Pace’s statement and the ‘minutes’ of the meeting (if you can call them that).

My point entirely about minutes. They dont show any quotes from the fab so how can any of us on here make a judgement on what they think. There's no way everyone will have agreed on that. That's just human nature with different characters and opinions. It also doesnt mean they should just instantly resign either. I'd have thought it would be more beneficial to stay on there and continue to voice that disapproval rather than lose said voice on the board

so this has been an eventful read

One can only presume the lateness of this is to minimise advanced protests - though the club may say it was due to late approval from the SAG

I am intrigued that there has not been a proper trial of these new procedures

I wonder about the potential for additional issues that a substantial increase in fans going in opposite directions on Harry Potts way is going to create - given where home fans are now placed in the CFS just what kind of impact fans from there heading towards Brunshaw Rd (along with the Bob Lorder's already doing the same).

Separately, it would not be fair of the club to open new routes onto Holcombe Drive, with the likely substantial increase in footfall/noise etc without appropriate consultation with the residents, a number of whom have long running issues with the club as it is.

the only way to get this changed is for any accidents to be reported and where possible claims be made against the club, something that does not appear to have happened given the reports herein

I have other thoughts but will refrain for now
Interesting this. I previously posted about my wife's very serious accident some years ago after the evening kick off against Chelsea .She tripped over the offending kerb which is used to anchor the infamous gate at the end of the JM stand and smashed her patella .She was blue lighted to Blackburn , operated on and hospitalised for 3 weeks. She was still in a wheelchair at Christmas .

St.Johns report all the accidents to the Club and I did get a letter saying how sorry they were . Nothing more .

I sued the Club . They settled out of Court.

The reason I said they don't care is because the last time I was at the Turf ( end of last season ) the kerb had not been mended . It only protrudes an inch but that's enough when you are in a dense crowd and can't see where you are going .I am very sure that there are worse " obstacles " around the ground just waiting for an accident to happen.

There’s The Gate of Death (though no actual deaths have been recorded). Omerod’s Obstacle (hidden away on the right hand side to protect the lighting, but not shins.). The Kerb of Chaos, a 50 metre long hidden drop that’s broken ankles in the past. The Pylon Pit, another piece of random street furniture protecting some random steel pole, but with the added bonus of not being filled in.

What a bizarre response.

The names were put up anyway, and as I said I'm aware of some of those people.

If they're allowed to post on here, then the the hope was from many posters that they'd be able to tell us why, they, as a group, agreed with these changes, and if they didn't, why they haven't resigned or whatever.

Or...they may post on here and not want you to know they're a member of the FAB
