I assume by your incredibly witty remarks that you’ll be going, no matter who we draw then?

By your logic i meant your interpretation. If a team jumps up from the 3rd round to the groups then a team must jimp from the 2nd to the 3rd so Arsenal winning still could benefit us. Looking at what i read as the logic why its the dutch team that is the one who goes from 3rd round to groups would to me suggest the Danish Cup winners would go from 2nd to 3rd and not us.CrosspoolClarets wrote:it Isn’t my logic, it is UEFA’s. All I am doing is looking at next year’s access list if (as they would) UEFA do the same thing again.
I don’t really care what other teams get jigged about, but I am 99.9% sure that if Arsenal win the EL, we will not benefit. Probably it will be Feyenoord.
Don't say that too loud or we'll have people clamoring for a referendum on whether we even want to be.DustyBawls wrote:Does anybody else still have to remind themselves that Burnley are actually in Europe. It's amazing. Burnley - in Europe.
Although it's looking more and more likely, we aren't there yet. Don't like counting my chickens as it usually backfires.DustyBawls wrote:Does anybody else still have to remind themselves that Burnley are actually in Europe. It's amazing. Burnley - in Europe.

All the draw & round dates, up to group stage, are now on the calendarlongside72 wrote:When will the draw for the 2nd round be made ? I've seen somewhere 23rd , surely that cant be right !
For reasons known only to themselves, the four qualifying rounds are known as 1st qualifying round, 2nd qualifying round, 3rd qualifying round, and play-offs. Perhaps the person naming the rounds didn't know any numbers higher than 3.cricketfieldclarets wrote:What are the europa play offs for? Those who drop out of champs league?
The play off round includes teams who lost in the last qualifying round for the Champions League Group stage.dsr wrote:For reasons known only to themselves, the four qualifying rounds are known as 1st qualifying round, 2nd qualifying round, 3rd qualifying round, and play-offs. I think this is rightIAmAClaret wrote:If we finish 7th, and Arsenal win the Europa, we get into the group stage.
If we finish 7th, and Arsenal DONT win the Europa, we get into the Second Qualifying Round.
Not the case - play offs are when teams from Champions League come in to join the teams that have qualified through the first three qualifiers.dsr wrote:For reasons known only to themselves, the four qualifying rounds are known as 1st qualifying round, 2nd qualifying round, 3rd qualifying round, and play-offs. Not this time. Champions League losers come in at various stages:ClaretTony wrote:Not the case - play offs are when teams from Champions League come in to join the teams that have qualified through the first three qualifiers.

6 in The FA Cup without replays.
8 In The League Cup if we join at the third round and with a two legged semi final.
21 in The Europa if we enter at the second qualifying stage
Total 73 games.
