1516 burnley scott arfield 00 630x420Scott Arfield, after much speculation, has been selected for the Canadian squad who will play two World Cup qualifiers next week against Mexico. the first of the two games will be played next Friday, 25th March, at BC Place in Vancouver with the second game on the following Tuesday at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

Our congratulations to Scott who has had to opt for Canada having not been able to impress Gordon Strachan enough to give him a Scotland call up.

He’ll be in a squad alongside his former Burnley team mate David Edgar and three other English based players – they being Marcus Harber (Crewe), Junior Hoilett (QPR) and Doneil Henry (West Ham).
