Reports from the West Midlands this morning are suggesting that Burnley could be interested in bringing three of West Bromwich Albion’s current first team squad to Turf Moor for next season.

We brought news of a potential move for Jay Rodriguez yesterday, but the report suggests his current wage at West Brom, which the Express & Star value at £65,000 per week, is one we wouldn’t be able to match.

Craig Dawson has also been linked with us recently. The central defender was a player we were keen to sign four years ago but he opted to stay at The Hawthorns and signed a new deal. With relegation imminent, it is thought he’d be looking to move on. However, he has two years remaining on his contract and, with Jonny Evans set to depart, West Brom are believed to be keen to ensure Dawson doesn’t move. Burnley could tempt them with a £10 million offer.

The third West Brom player we’ve now been linked with is Matt Phillips (pictured). He’s just completing his second season with them having moved from QPR in a £5.5 million transfer. He enjoyed an outstanding first season with them but, it is claimed, has struggled with confidence this season and has scored only two goals and contributed with three assists.
