1718 burnley nashe chakwana 00 500x500Having moved the first two home games of the season behind closed doors, today gives us the first chance to see the under-23s in action at home with the Millwall game being played at the Turf.

We’ve started the season with two home wins and two away defeats, with us having held two goal leads in both away games, and we go into today’s game in 5th position in the northern group against a Millwall team who are 5th in the southern group having also won two and lost two of their opening four games.

We’ve beaten Cardiff and Crystal Palace at home while losing at Coventry and QPR; Millwall have recorded victories at Hull and at home against Bolton while losing at Sheffield Wednesday and at home to Leeds.

Their most recent game was played a week ago yesterday and was their most impressive result today with Kevin Nugent’s side beating Bolton 3-0 courtesy of a Mason Saunders-Henry hat trick.

Last season’s game against them was played at The Den in April and was our only defeat in the final six games of the season. We fell two behind with goals from Fred Onyedinma and Ryan Tunnicliffe and despite a late goal from Tinashe Chakwana we were beaten 2-1.

Kick off today is 1 p.m.
