Robson-Kanu appeal fails

An Independent Regulatory Commission on behalf of The Football Association have today upheld the decision by referee Martin Atkinson to send off West Brom’s Hal Robson-Kanu in the game against us at Turf Moor two days ago and he will now begin his three match ban which includes the League Cup tie at Accrington and Premier League games against Stoke and Brighton.

I’ve still not quite understood the reasoning behind West Brom’s decision to appeal but at least they haven’t paid the price with no extra game having been added.
