Home tie against Leeds in FA Youth Cup
The 3rd round draw for the FA Youth Cup has been made today and given Burnley a home game against Leeds United who, like us, play in the U18 Professional Development League.
This is the fourth time the two clubs have been drawn against each other in this competition. We were beaten in 1965/66 and 1988/89 but won in 1962/63 and in our most recent tie against them in 1993/94 when we went all the way to the fourth round, beating Newcastle and Wimbledon as well as Leeds before losing at home against Arsenal.
The 3rd round ties must be played by Saturday 16th December. By then we will have played them in the league, that game is scheduled for Saturday 25th November with the away game to come on 10th February.
