1617 burnley robbie leitch 01 800Burnley have made a second signing today with the capture of former Motherwell midfielder Robbie Leitch. Like Thomas, he has signed a two year deal with the option of a third year in the club’s favour.

Leitch was in the Motherwell side who won the Scottish Youth Cup for the first time two months ago, beating Hearts in the final, and he’s followed in his dad’s footsteps in moving from Motherwell to England, his dad Scott having played for Swindon.

Leitch said: “I’m delighted to sign here because it’s a club that is really going places and the fact they’re back in the Premier League is great. It was an easy decision to make because I think Burnley are that big of a club and I can’t wait to get started now.

“Hopefully I can play regularly for the U21s this season, and keep progressing to try and challenge for a spot in the first-team as quick as I can.

“I’ve got a bit of history in English football as my dad played for Swindon a few years back and hopefully I can do as good as him.”
