bamberThree pre-season games for Steve Stone’s under-23 side have been confirmed with all three away games in the North West.

The first of the games is at Stalybridge Celtic on 17th July, the same Wednesday we travelled there last season. A year ago we won the game 3-0 with Michael Duff then in charge. Both Rob Harker and Ntumba Massanka scored in the first nine minutes of the game with Tinashe Chakwana adding a third in the second half.

The other two games are at grounds we used for home under-23 games last season. On 24th July we are at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium (pictured), home of Bamber Bridge, where we earned a draw last season against Liverpool in the Premier League Cup, and, finally, on 31st July, we are at what is our home ground of Curzon Ashton.

We are not expected to know the league fixtures for 2019/20 until after these games are played but if all goes well our third season in the Professional Development League could be our last with the club looking to progress into a Category 1 Academy for the 2020/21 season.

All three of these fixtures have been added to the Friendlies and Key Dates page on the site.
