presentationBurnley won promotion to the Premier League on Monday 2nd May with a 1-0 win against Queens Park Rangers, and clinched the title five days later with a 3-0 victory at The Valley against already relegated Charlton Athletic.

One calendar month on from that QPR win and we’ve formally been welcomed back into the league for the third time at the Annual General Meeting which started today.

Prior to the meeting, the three relegated clubs, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Norwich City, were asked to transfer back their share certificates to allow the league to cancel their status as shareholders.

That was followed, at the start of the AGM, with Burnley, Middlesbrough and Hull City being welcomed to the league and awarded their framed share certificates.

Burnley Football Club are again shareholders and members of the Premier League.
