Having won at Fulham five days earlier it was expected we’d see a more relaxed Burnley in the home game against Leeds, a Burnley that would exact revenge for the controversial 1-0 defeat at Elland Road in December.

It wasn’t to be. Mateusz Klich put Leeds in front just before half time with Jack Harrison doubling the score just before the hour. Rodrigo came on as a substitute to score twice and condemn us to a 4-0 defeat.

The teams were;

Burnley: Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Matt Lowton, James Tarkowski, Ben Mee, Charlie Taylor, Josh Brownhill, Ashley Westwood, Jack Cork, Dwight McNeil (Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson 70), Chris Wood (Ashley Barnes 65), Matěj Vydra (Jay Rodriguez 65). Subs not used: Will Norris, Richard Nartey, Jimmy Dunne, Erik Pieters, Lewis Richardson.
Yellow Card: Ashley Westwood.

Leeds: Illan Meslier, Luke Ayling, Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk, Stuart Dallas, Kalvin Phillips, Ezgjan Alioski, Raphina (Ian Poveda 81), Mateusz Klich (Tyler Roberts 76), Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford (Rodrigo 58). Subs not used: Kiko Casilla, Liam Cooper, Leif Davis, Gaetano Berardi, Jamie Shackleton, Jack Jenkins.
Yellow Card: Kalvin Phillips.

Referee: Graham Scott (Oxfordshire).
