1213 burnley jon stewart 00 300x400Goalkeeper Jon Stewart, who was with Burnley from 2011 to 2013, is on the move again, leaving Bradford Park Avenue, where he was captain, after just one season to sign for Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

Stewart left Bournemouth to sign for Burnley and did spend some time on the bench when regular substitute keeper Brian Jensen was out injured, but his only first team action during his time at Turf Moor was during a loan spell at Alfreton.

He signed for Worksop when he left us before returning to Alfreton. Things didn’t go well there for him second time round and he moved back to Worksop where he remained until the end of the 2014/15 season.

Keen to take a step up, he joined Bradford Park Avenue last season and was named captain. The only time he lost his place was due to an injury when current Burnley goalkeeper Conor Mitchell was signed on loan to cover for him.

So it is a surprise to see the 27-yearold on the move again but he’s signed for Shaw Lane Aquaforce who are in the Evo-Stik South League where he will again be coached by Matthew Wright; the goalkeeping coach has followed him from Avenue.
