1718 burnley michael fowler 00 500x500Burnley have made it two wins out of two in the U18 Professional Development League, coming back from a goal behind this morning to beat Colchester United 2-1 with goals from Michael Fowler and substitute Rhys Fenlon.

Both sides had chances although the young Clarets looked the most likely, but it was Colchester who went in front ten minutes before the break with a goal scored from close range.

They weren’t able to hold that lead until half time, however. Just before the break Fowler pictured) got on the scoresheet again, firing home to take us into the break at 1-1.

Danny Cadamarteri made a change at half time, bringing on Rhys Fenlon for Mitchell George and it worked a treat with Fenlon scoring the winner nine minutes in. Despite all the efforts of the home team, we held on to make it two wins out of two.

The team was: Harry Allen, Dan Moss, Udoka Chimna, Richard Taylor, Matty Rain, Mitchell George (Rhys Fenlon ht), Kian Yari, Ethan Kershaw, Kai Smith, Terry Mupariwa, Michael Fowler. Subs not used: Joe O’Shaughnessy, Edon Pruti, Joe Conley, Lewis Richardson.
