fantasy premier league 2016-17The 2017/18 Premier League season kicks off in 11 days time when Arsenal face Leicester at the Emirates Stadium on Friday 11th August.

That’s plenty of time to join the Up the Clarets Fantasy Premier League for the new season. It’s already got off to a great start with 48 entries received which means a prize fund so far of £245 which is some way ahead of the figure we had at this stage last season when the final prize fund reached £570.

Again we are using the Premier League’s official game and if you are looking to include some Burnley players in your squad you won’t have to pay top price. Andre Gray and Sam Vokes are our two most expensive players at £6.5 million and £6 million respectively, the same price as last season but you can bag such as Jack Cork for your midfield for just £4.5 million.

Of all the Burnley players, Tom Heaton had the biggest points total last season with 149 with the two strikers the only other Burnley players to record three figures. Tom will cost you £5 million, just half a million below the highest priced goalkeepers.

If you are looking for some big players, the most expensive defender is Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso at £7 million. You will have to pay £12 million to bag Alexis Sanchez (still at Arsenal); he’s the highest priced midfielder whilst the most you will need to pay for a striker is £12.5 million should you want Harry Kane in your squad.

It’s unlimited changes until the cut off time for the first round of games, after which you can make one transfer per week without losing any points.

Last week our youth team reached the final of the Generali CEE Cup in Prague with the Up the Clarets Youth Foundation delighted to have been able to make a substantial contribution towards the squad being able to take part in the competition and the remainder of the money received for this game, once the prize money has been deducted, will go into the youth foundation.

The Fantasy game is free to enter but with a charge of £10 (or £10.60 using Paypal or card to cover costs). Once we have received your payment, the code for joining the Up the Clarets League will be sent to you.

It’s open to everyone. You do not need to have registered for the message board although a list of all those who enter will be displayed there along with the prize breakdown once the final numbers are known.

Just click HERE for details of how to enter, both in terms of joining the game and the Up the Clarets League.
