1718 burnley ntumba massanka 00 500x500Ntumba Massanka, released by the Clarets at the end of last season, has moved into the National League with Chorley who won promotion last season.

Chorley announced his signing just ahead of their opening league game against Bromley two days ago, a game that ended 0-0, with Massanka making his debut as a 67th minute substitute against a Bromley side for whom George Porter had been introduced from the bench, and he came closest to breaking the deadlock close to the end.

Massanka came through the centre of excellence at Burnley and made the first team bench once at Accrington in the League Cup. During his time with us he spent time out on loan at York, Morecambe, Wrexham (on two occasions), Dover and finally in Belgium with Racing White Daring Molenbeek.

It was because of his final club that Chorley had to await international clearance before announcing the signing.

Jamie Vermiglio, the Chorley manager said of his latest signing: “We are really happy to have completed the signing of another forward to give us a different option up top. Ntumba has a good experience at this level and we’re looking forward to seeing him in a Chorley shirt.”
