New Zealand Clarets ready for the weekend
They kicked off last season, meeting in Auckland for our 1-1 draw against Spurs, and this weekend the New Zealand Clarets will be together again this weekend in Wellington.
Here is a reminder of their itinerary.
Saturday 16th January
9am – Meet at the D4 Pub on Featherston – 1/143 Featherston Street, Wellington Central, Wellington 6142
This pub will open for us for breakfasts and drinks at 9am. This is directly across from the train station
11.30am – Head to Trentham Races on the train.
Tickets for the train will be available on the day on the platform but tickets for the races will need to be purchased and printed in advance.
4.30pm – Leave the races and head back to the city on the train
6.45pm – Meet at the Whistling Sisters Pub – Corner Ghuznee & Taranaki St, Te Aro Wellington
8pm – Andy Payton introduced and first hour of talk and questions from members.
9pm – 15 minute break for refreshments and raffle drawn
9.15pm – second half starts and wraps up about 10.15pm.
10.15pm – more drinks and see where the night takes us.
Sunday 17th January
8.30am meet at the four kings pub to watch the West Ham game with breakfast available before the game kicks off.
