1516 burnley paul robinson 00 630x420Goalkeeper Paul Robinson will remain with the Clarets in the Premier League next season after putting pen to paper on a new one year deal.

Robinson joined us in January this year when Matt Gilks had suffered an injury and he was named as the substitute goalkeeper in all th remaining games, even once Gilks, who has since moved on to Rangers, had recovered.

The former Blackburn goalkeeper was offered a new deal at the end of the season and he’s now committed to the Clarets with manager Sean Dyche saying: “We are delighted to have Paul back on board.

“He continues to work hard at his profession and his wealth of experience is hugely beneficial to the team and, in particular, the goalkeeping department. Our other goalkeepers, especially the younger ones, will continue to improve while Paul is with us and we look forward to working with him again this coming season.”

Prior to joining Blackburn, Robinson played for both Leeds and Tottenham.
