Under-23 and under-18 fixtures confirmed
Burnley’s Professional Development League fixtures for both the under-23 and under-18 teams have now been confirmed with both kicking off with home games against Cardiff City and Charlton Athletic respectively.
The under-18s entertain Charlton at Gawthorpe on Saturday morning whilst it’s an evening at Curzon Ashton for the under-23s next Monday against Cardiff. Curzon will again be a regular venue for the team but this season most of the games will be afternoon kick offs although not this Cardiff game which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Some under-23 games will be played at the Turf but they are still to be confirmed.
This season there will be two games less with Huddersfield having dropped out at both levels with their move to category 4. That means 18 games against the nine teams in the North Group (home and away) and one game against each of the teams in the South Group (home or away).
