Sean Dyche confirmed today that Phil Bardsley has joined Robbie Brady and Kevin Long on the unavailable list for the remaining three games of the season.

Bardsley has a hernia problem that requires surgery but has delayed it until our place in the Premier League for next season was secured. Dyche said: “He’s been keeping himself right and training very hard to make sure that we saw the job through. That (the surgery) will need doing now and there are a couple of others who just need things looking at to make sure, so we’ll haev to get on top of them.”

Dale Stephens has been struggling with an ankle injury that Dyche said may require intervention while goalkeeper Nick Pope will be checked having had both shoulder and knee issues in recent weeks, the shoulder injury keeping him out of the recent games against Newcastle and Manchester United.

With neither Bardsley nor Stephens having started a league game since October it will just be Pope who could be missing from the team when we come up against Leeds in two days time.
