Burnley have today released their retained list which brings to an end Turf Moor careers for eighteen players from first team to youth team.

Barnes and Lowton we knew about; the only other first team squad player set to depart is goalkeeper Will Norris who has spent the second half of the season on loan at Peterborough.

The under-21 squad sees no fewer than twelve players leave which includes goalkeeper Lukas Jensen who has been on loan at Accrington this season. Also departing are goalkeeper Lewis Thomas, full backs Keelan Williams and Dane McCullough, midfielders Frankie Deane, Jacson Coppack, Seb Thompson, Kade Ratchford, Ne-Jai Tucker and Deji Sotona and forwards Joe McGlynn and Jacob Hamilton.

Three players coming out of their scholarships, defenders Tosin Olopade, Nathan James and Trevon Bryan will also be leaving.

Other players out of contract this summer are Finlay Armstrong, Jez Davies, Will Hugill and Jack Turner from the under-21s along with youth team scholars Charlie Casper, Wiktor Gromek, Kian Le Fondre and Harry Moss. None of this group have been released so it can be assumed they have been offered new deals.
