Bayode and Shrimpton secure win

Goals from Olatunde Bayode (pictured) and Tyler Shrimpton have given Burnley a 2-1 win this morning against Carlisle United in the Youth Alliance League.

Burnley were 2-0 up and seemingly coasting to victory, but a soft penalty award allowed Carlisle to pull one back. However, they didn’t score again and the win has given Burnley a fourth win of the season which will move us up to sixth in the table, moving above both Carlisle and Rochdale who don’t play this weekend.

It’s cup action next for the Clarets; we face Scunthorpe at Gawthorpe next week in the Youth Alliance Cup.
