Burnley took on one of the rebels Liverpool this afternoon in the U18 Premier League and earned a terrific point from a 1-1 draw.

After a goalless first half it was our opponents who went in front just seven minutes after the break when Luke Chambers scored from close range but we drew level on 77 minutes when Will Couch (pictured) was able to score at the far post following a cross from Dane McCullough.

In the end it was a fully deserved point for the Clarets against one of the best under-18 teams in the league.

The teams were;

Burnley: Sam Waller, Keelan Williams, Jake Rooney, Benn Ward, Finlay Armstrong, Will Couch, Will Hugill (Joe Bauress 68), Kade Ratchford, Ruairi Behan (Dane McCullough 65), Sam Unwin, Joe McGlynn. Subs not used: Dan Sassi, Joe Smyth-Ferguson, George Walters.

Liverpool: Fabian Mrozek, Jarell Quansah, Billy Koumetio, Lee Jonas, Sean Wilson, Luke Chambers, Stefan Bajcetic (Terrence McLaughlin-Miles 76), Luca Stephenson (James Norris 65), Max Woltman (James Balagizi 71), Melkamu Frauendorf, Mateusz Musialowski. Sub not used: Oscar Kelly.
